Olympic Village (Paris)
The Olympic Village in Saint-Denis is an Olympic village in Seine-Saint-Denis (Île-de-France) specially built to host athletes during the 2024 Summer Olympics, 2024 Summer Olympic and 2024 Summer Paralympics, Paralympic Games in Paris. Located mainly in the Communes of France, commune of Saint-Denis, Seine-Saint-Denis, Saint-Denis, it also extends into Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine and L'Île-Saint-Denis. The site was designed by architect Dominique Perrault to accommodate the 14,500 Olympic athletes and 9,000 Paralympic athletes and their technical staff between 26 July and 8 September 2024. The village is located approximately from the Saint-Denis–Pleyel station, which is the terminus of Paris Métro Line 14. Paris Métro Line 13
Paris Métro Line 13 (opened as Line B; French: ''Ligne 13 du métro de Paris'') is one of the sixteen lines of the Paris Métro. It was built by the Nord-Sud Company before becoming Line 13 when the Nord-Sud was merged into the Compagnie du chemin de fer métropolitain de Paris (CMP) in 1930. Line 13 was extended in 1976 to reach the northern end of Line 14, which was then absorbed into it. The number 14 was eventually reused for a new line in 1998. Line 13 was once planned to be replaced by a north–south RER line, but this was cancelled after the reorganisation of the Île-de-France region in 1965. Mairie de Saint-Ouen station () is a station on lines 13 and 14 of the Paris Métro in the commune of Saint-Ouen. It is named after the nearby town hall of Saint-Ouen. Location Line 13 station is located under Place de la République, at the intersection of Avenue Gabriel-Péri, Boulevard Victor-Hugo and Boulevard Jean-Jaurès. The A86 (sometimes called "Paris super-périphérique") is the second ring road around Paris, France. It follows an irregular path around Paris with the distance from the city centre (Notre Dame de Paris, Notre Dame) varying in the range. The south-western section of A86 contains one of Europe's longest urban motorway tunnels ( of continuous tunnel) known as the , opened in two parts in 2009 and 2011.
