Olaf (Frozen)
Olaf is a fictional character in Disney's ''Frozen (franchise), Frozen'' franchise. He first appeared in the Walt Disney Animation Studios animated film ''Frozen (2013 film), Frozen'' (2013). At the beginning of the film, Olaf is an inanimate snowman created by Elsa (Frozen), Elsa and Anna (Frozen), Anna in their childhood. He then reappears in the film as an Anthropomorphism, anthropomorphic snowman created by Elsa's ice powers, and helps Anna and Kristoff (Frozen), Kristoff in their journey to find Elsa. ''Olaf Presents'' is an animated comedy miniseries of shorts that features Olaf ( Josh Gad) retelling the stories of Disney films. The series was inspired by a scene in '' Frozen II'' where Olaf recaps '' Frozen''. The series received positive responses, particularly for its humor. Kristen Anderson-Lopez (born March 21, 1972) is an American songwriter. She is known for co-writing the songs for the 2013 animated musical film '' Frozen'' and its 2019 sequel '' Frozen II'' with her husband Robert Lopez. "Me and My Shadow" is a 1927 popular song. Al Jolson, Billy Rose, and Dave Dreyer are credited as the writers, with Jolson and Dreyer listed on the sheet music as responsible for the music and Rose the lyrics. Jolson was often given credits on sheet music so he could earn more by popularizing the tunes, but he played no part in writing this song. Jolson never recorded "Shadow", but in 1927, he used it in the touring version of " Big Boy". Popular recordings in 1927 were by "Whispering" Jack Smith, Nat Shilkret (vocal by Johnny Marvin) and the separate recording by Johnny Marvin for Columbia Records.
