Offshore Music
Offshore Music Philippines is an independent record label founded by Ely Buendia (of Eraserheads) in 2016. Offshore Music entered into a distribution agreement with Sony Music Philippines in 2023. History Buendia formed Offshore Music in 2016. He has also taken on sound engineer and executive producer roles in its subsequent releases, with the label's artists being able to record in Buendia's home recording studio Crow's Nest. Offshore's first releases were Buendia's soul and R&B supergroup Apartel’s debut album '' Inner Play'' (2016) and his collaborations with Itchyworms, "Pariwara" and "Lutang", which were released as a 7-inch single for Record Store Day in 2017. Ely Buendia
Ely Eleandre Basiño Buendia (born November 2, 1970) is a Filipino musician. He is best known as the lead vocalist and primary songwriter of the alternative rock band Eraserheads, with whom he has released seven albums since their founding in 1989. Raised in Naga, Camarines Sur, Buendia attended University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City, where he met drummer Raimund Marasigan, bassist Buddy Zabala, and guitarist Marcus Adoro, with whom he would later form Eraserheads. Their debut album '' Ultraelectromagneticpop!'' (1993) ushered in a second wave of Philippine rock bands, and launched Buendia and the band to rock stardom. Buendia was the primary songwriter and creative voice behind the band's early albums, including ''Ultraelectromagneticpop!'', '' Circus'' (1994) and '' Cutterpillow'' (1995). "1995" is a song by the Philippine alternative rock band Eraserheads. It was released in 2014 as part of a two-track CD included with the September issue of the Philippine edition of ''Esquire'' magazine, along with “ Sabado”. The songs are the band's first new material in 12 years. Background The songs were initiated by ''Esquire Philippines'' editor in chief Erwin Romulo when he followed the band during their one-night show in London in April 2014. “We wanted to find out what the band would sound like today,” he recalled. “It’s not a comeback. It’s an experiment.” Romulo co-wrote “1995” with vocalist Ely Buendia. It was described as a “ Lemonheads-esque throwback to the band’s dalliances with punk”. The Ransom Collective
The Ransom Collective (also known as TRC and originally known as Kian Ransom) are a Filipino indie folk band known for their "spirited music that makes for perfect adventure tunes." The band, which consists of Kian Ransom (vocals/guitars), Jermaine Choa Peck (vocals/percussion), Leah Halili (vocals/bass), sisters Lily (keyboards) and Muriel Gonzales (violin), and Redd Claudio (drums), first received wide public attention when they won first place at Wanderland Music and Arts Festival's pre-event Wanderband competition in January 2014 and played at Wanderland 2014. Wolfrando Lavalan Jr. (September 25, 1957 – March 29, 2022), professionally known as Jun Lopito, was a Filipino guitarist. He worked with most of the Philippines' rock bands and singers such as Pinoy rock legend Pepe Smith and ethnic singer Grace Nono. Idris Ennolandy Vicuña (born May 28, 1990), known professionally as Eyedress, is a Filipino musician who has released albums in various rock, pop and electronic styles. Hailing from Manila, he currently lives in Los Angeles. Early life Eyedress was raised in an area in the Philippines which he described as "ghetto", and began playing the guitar at a young age. Ena Patricia Mori Villa, known by her stage name Ena Mori (stylized in lowercase), is a Filipino-Japanese singer-songwriter and musician. Record Store Day is a semi-annual event established in 2008 to "celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store". Itchyworms
The Itchyworms is a Filipino rock band. The band is composed of Jazz Nicolas on lead vocals, drums and piano, Jugs Jugueta on co-lead vocals, keys and guitars, Kelvin Yu on bass guitars, Chino Singson on lead guitars, Weckl Mercado on guitars, and Mikey Amistoso on guitars and keys. The group made their name in the OPM (Original Pilipino Music) scene in 2006 with their second album, '' Noontime Show'', with songs such as "Akin Ka Na Lang" and "Beer".
