Odjie Mamon
Arthur "Odjie" Mamon (born March 28) is a Filipino volleyball coach. Career Mamon was a player for the UST Golden Spikers of the UAAP. Coaching career Collegiate Mamon is a long-time volleyball coach at the University of Santo Tomas. In 2011, Mamon was appointed as head coach of the UST Golden Tigresses of the UAAP. He held the role until 2015 when he resigned citing "excess drama" in handling the women's team. He later became head coach of the UST Golden Spikers men's team. Club Mamon coached the PLDT men's team at the Spikers' Turf. The Philippines women's national team competing as the club Choco Mucho finished sixth at the 2021 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship under Mamon's tutelage. Mamon coached the AMC Cotabato Spikers at the 2022 PNVF Champions League for Men. Cotabato later joined the Spikers' Turf where they finished second in the 2023 Open Conference. UST Golden Spikers Volleyball
The UST Golden Spikers are the men's collegiate varsity volleyball team of the University of Santo Tomas. They compete in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). History The UST Tiger Spikers have 19 UAAP men's volleyball championships. The Golden Spikers achieved a three-peat in Seasons 70, 71 and 72. The Tiger Spikers also participate in the Spikers' Turf, a preseason league where they finished second in the 2018 Collegiate Conference and third on two occasions in 2016 and 2017. The Golden Spikers were back-to-back UNIGAMES champions in 2016 and 2017. 2021 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship
The 2021 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship was the 21st edition of the Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship, an annual international volleyball club tournament organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Thailand Volleyball Association (TVA). The tournament was held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, from 1 to 7 October 2021. The winner of the tournament qualified to 2021 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship. The last edition of the tournament was held in 2019 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship, 2019. The 2020 edition, due to be hosted in Tianjin, China. Jorge Edson Souza de Brito (born October 13, 1966), known as Jorge Edson, is a Brazilian volleyball coach and retired volleyball player who is the head coach for the Capital1 Solar Spikers of the Premier Volleyball League and the Philippines women's national team. He was a member of the Brazil men's national volleyball team that won the gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona by defeating the Netherlands (3-0) in the final. He played as a middle blocker. He was born in Porto Alegre. Coaching career Edson later became a coach. From 2002 onwards, Edson led top-tier Brazilian clubs and clinched podium finishes for sides from Turkey and Japan. Spikers' Turf
The Spikers' Turf is the top-level men's semi-professional volleyball league in the Philippines organized by the Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. (Sports Vision), established in 2015. History The league had its beginnings in 2014, when the Shakey's V-League introduced a men's division during its Shakey's V-League 11th Season Reinforced Open Conference, 21st conference. The following year, Sports Vision decided to spin off the men's division as a separate league, giving birth to the Spikers' Turf. In late-2016, Sports Vision announced that the league be merged back in the 2017 season with the Shakey's V-League (which was renamed as the Premier Volleyball League; PVL).
