UST Golden Spikers Volleyball
The UST Golden Spikers are the men's collegiate varsity volleyball team of the University of Santo Tomas. They compete in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). History The UST Tiger Spikers have 19 UAAP men's volleyball championships. The Golden Spikers achieved a three-peat in Seasons 70, 71 and 72. The Tiger Spikers also participate in the Spikers' Turf, a preseason league where they finished second in the 2018 Collegiate Conference and third on two occasions in 2016 and 2017. The Golden Spikers were back-to-back UNIGAMES champions in 2016 and 2017. 2022 V-League Collegiate Challenge
The 2022 V-League Collegiate Challenge is the first conference of the V-League (''14th season of the V-League franchise; 41st conference of the former Shakey's V-League'') after it relaunched this year after six years. It is the inaugural competition of the V-League as a standalone tournament after being tied with Shakey's Pizza in the past as their title sponsor. The tournament began on October 16 for men's with 12 teams while October 19 for women's with 8 teams. The Spikers’ Turf Collegiate Conference was the 5th conference of the Spikers' Turf that started on July 30, 2016 and ended on September 10, 2016, games were held at the Ynares Sports Arena and PhilSports Arena. UAAP Season 85 Volleyball Tournaments
The UAAP Season 85 volleyball tournaments are the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) volleyball tournaments for the 2022–23 school year. This is the first completed tournament since 2019. The collegiate men's and women's tournaments began on February 25, 2023. The high school boys' and girls' tournaments began earlier on February 13, 2023. This is the first tournament for men's, boys' and girls' since the COVID-19 pandemic. Tournament format The UAAP continued to use the Final Four with an updated format in stepladder prior to the start of Season 85, which was to scrapped the "undue advantage" bestowed to second seed team. The league reverted to its pre-pandemic Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday schedule and protocols such as handshakes and court-side switches between the two teams. UAAP Season 77 Volleyball Tournaments
The UAAP Season 77 seniors' division volleyball tournament started on November 22, 2014 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Metro Manila. Opening-day games were the women's teams of UE vs UST at 2 PM and Ateneo vs NU at 4 PM. The tournament main venue was the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan City while selected games will be played at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City, and the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay. The UAAP Season 77 high school volleyball tournament started on July 26, 2014. The tournament venue was the Adamson University Gym in San Marcelino St., Ermita, Manila. The number of participating schools in the boys' and girls' tournaments both increased to seven. Far Eastern University fielded boys' and girls' volleyball teams this season. UAAP Season 74 Volleyball Tournaments
The seniors' division of the UAAP Season 74 volleyball tournaments opened November 26, 2011. Tournaments are hosted by Ateneo de Manila University. Tournament games are held at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan City. Usually held in the first semester, the UAAP Board decided to move the juniors' division tournaments on the second semester of the school year. In boys' tournament, the NU Bullpups and UST Tiger Cubs, which are tied at second place, played for the #2 seed with the latter winning the playoff. UE Junior Spikers successfully defended their title after beating UST in the finals. UE was awarded their tenth and eighth consecutive UAAP boys' volleyball championship. Tournament games are held at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan City.
