OSCAAR
The Ontario Stock Car Association of Asphalt Racers, usually shortened to the acronym OSCAAR, is a Canadian Stock car racing, stock car Auto racing, racing series featuring three divisions, Modified stock car racing, Open Wheeled Modifieds, Hot Rods and Midget car racing, Pro Sprint. It has been running since 1990, with Dave Burbridge winning the inaugural championship. Previously the series included an Late model, Outlaw Super Late Models division. OSCAAR Modified Series The OSCAAR Modified Series was created in 2012 and consists of 450 horsepower Modified stock car racing#Asphalt modified, asphalt modified stock cars. Sauble Speedway
Sauble Speedway is a 1/4 mile short track motor racing oval, located east of the beach community Sauble Beach, Ontario, Sauble Beach, in Hepworth, Ontario, Hepworth, Ontario, Canada. The track hosts a weekly Saturday night stock car racing program that runs from June to September each year, with additional Sunday night races on Long weekend, long weekends. Peterborough Speedway is a 1/3 mile semi-banked short track motor racing paved oval, located west of the city of Peterborough, in Cavan, Ontario, Canada. Full Throttle Motor Speedway @ Varney (formerly Varney International Speedway) is a 1/4 mile high banked short track motor racing oval, located south of the village of Varney, in Durham, Ontario, Canada. The track hosts a weekly Saturday night stock car racing program that runs from May to September each year. History In 1966 brothers Joe and Tom Kennedy purchased a 35-acre property on Highway 6 south of Varney, Ontario. In the fall of 1969 the track was constructed with paving, lights, drainage and the first grandstand. The speedway opened in June 1970 and was operated by the Kennedy family until 1985. New ownership took over the track in 2014 and renamed the facility Full Throttle Motor Speedway. The Jukasa Motor Speedway (formerly known as Cayuga Speedway and the Cayuga 2000 Speedway) was an auto racing track located near Cayuga in Haldimand County, Ontario, Canada. Barrie Speedway
Barrie Speedway was a tri-oval racing track located in Oro-Medonte, Ontario, Canada, north of Barrie. It was a member of CASCAR Super Series between 1989 and 1995, the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series for the Ontario Provincial and National (Continental) championships between 2007 and 2014, and also hosted a NASCAR Canadian Tire Series 10 races between 2007 and 2014. Kawartha Speedway
Kawartha Speedway is a paved oval located in Fraserville, Ontario, approximately southwest of Peterborough. The paved track is within the harness racing track, temporary grandstands are brought onto the harness racing tracks surface. In 2006, Kawartha Speedway held the final CASCAR Super Series race before it became the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series in 2007. Since 2004, Kawartha was the host of the CASCAR Super Series finale. Kawartha Speedway held the finale of the inaugural NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Season which was won by Scott Steckly. The following year, Jason Hathaway picked up his first ever win, and in 2009 D.
