Noel Reid
Noel Reid (born 22 May 1990) is an Irish rugby union player who currently plays for the Toronto Arrows in Major League Rugby (MLR). His preferred position is fly-half or centre. Between 2011 and 2019 he played 120 games for Leinster. He has also played professionally for Leicester Tigers, London Irish and Agen. Early career In 2007, Reid won the Leinster Schools Rugby Senior Cup with St Michael's College. Professional career Leinster He made his senior debut in September 2012 against the Scarlets and scored a hattrick on his debut. During his time at Leinster he was part of three European Rugby Champions Cup winning squads and four Pro14 winning squads. Leinster Schools Rugby Senior Cup
The Leinster Schools Senior Challenge Cup is the premier rugby union competition for secondary schools affiliated to the Leinster Branch of the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU), and was first held in 1887. Attendances are high for a schoolboy competition, with up to 25000 present at the final. This match traditionally took place on Saint Patrick's Day at Lansdowne Road. In 2008, the final was played at the Royal Dublin Society Grounds (RDS) after Donnybrook proved to be too small for the 2007 final, (Lansdowne Road was closed for redevelopment) and has been the home since. Since the move to the RDS and live television coverage, the attendance has decreased and is now typically 10,000 to 14,000. The 2021–22 Premiership Rugby was the 35th season of the top flight of English domestic rugby union competition and the fourth to be sponsored by Gallagher. It is also the first since 1992–93 to feature thirteen teams. The competition was broadcast by BT Sport for the ninth successive season with four league season games and the final also simulcast free-to-air on ITV. The Pro D2 is the second tier of rugby union club competition division in France. It is operated by Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR) which also runs the division directly above, the first division Top 14. Rugby Pro D2 was introduced in 2000. It is the world's best supported second tier rugby union league. Season structure There are 30 rounds in the regular season, with each team playing each other home and away. There is relegation and promotion between both the Top 14 and Nationale, the third-level competition.
