Rugby Pro D2
The Pro D2 is the second tier of rugby union club competition division in France. It is operated by Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR) which also runs the division directly above, the first division Top 14. Rugby Pro D2 was introduced in 2000. It is the world's best supported second tier rugby union league. Season structure There are 30 rounds in the regular season, with each team playing each other home and away. There is relegation and promotion between both the Top 14 and Nationale, the third-level competition. The top two clubs at the end of the season qualify automatically for home semi-finals, with the clubs placed 3rd through to 6th playing in an elimination round to advance to the semi-finals. The two winners of the semi-final play each other in the final, with the winner gaining promotion to the Top 14, and the losing finalist then going on to play the 13th placed team in the Top 14 in a promotion-relegation match. Aurillac
Aurillac (; ) is the prefecture of the Cantal department, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. Geography Aurillac is at above sea level and located at the foot of the Cantal mountains in a small sedimentary basin. The city is built on the banks of the Jordanne, a tributary of the Cère. Stade Amédée-Domenech
The Stade Amédée-Domenech is a multi-purpose stadium in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France. It is currently used mostly for rugby union matches and is the home stadium of CA Brive. The stadium is able to hold 16,000. Its official name was the Stadium until 2004, but it was called Stade Amedee-Domenech after the French international rugby player Amédée Domenech died in 2003. The Stade Amédée-Domenech is the theatre of the matches of the Brive rugby team since 1921. There were some interruptions. From 1938 to 1941, the Brive rugby XIII team has played to the Stadium, and at the beginning of the Second World War, the field was invaded by army's machines. Brive-la-Gaillarde (; Limousin dialect of ), commonly known as simply Brive, is a commune of France. It is a sub-prefecture and the largest city of the Corrèze department.
