No Way Back (1947 Film)
''No Way Back'' (Swedish: ''Ingen väg tillbaka'') is a 1947 Swedish drama film directed by and starring Edvin Adolphson and also featuring Anita Björk, Olof Bergström and Gaby Stenberg.Qvist & Von Bagh p.30 It was shot at the Centrumateljéerna Studios in Stockholm. The film's sets were designed by the art director Arthur Spjuth. Synopsis Hugo Henriksen, a widowed businessman in World War II, wartime Denmark in World War II, occupied Copenhagen is about to be granted a Director (business), directorship and is persuaded by his daughter Evelyn to go out and celebrate. During an Airstrike, air raid a series of events lead to him accidentally killing a prostitute who had accosted him. He is witness leaving the vicinity by Preben, a young man who hopes to marry Evelyn. Edvin Adolphson
Gustav Edvin Adolphson (25 February 1893 – 31 October 1979) was a Sweden, Swedish film actor and director who appeared in over 500 roles. He made his debut in 1912. He appeared with Ingrid Bergman in ''Only One Night (1939 film), Only One Night'' (1939), and is noted for his roles in the film ''Änglar, finns dom?'' (1961), the television version of August Strindberg's ''Hemsöborna'' (1966), and as Markurell in ''Markurells i Wadköping'' (1968). He also directed the first Swedish sound film, ''Säg det i toner'' in 1929. He was actress Harriet Bosse's third husband (1927–1932) and is father of actress Kristina Adolphson (b. 1937) and songwriter/composer Olle Adolphson (1934–2004). Adolphson was born in Furingstad, Sweden (Östergötland County), and died in Solna Municipality, Solna, a suburb of Stockholm, Sweden. Danish Resistance Movement
The Danish resistance movements () were an underground insurgency to resist the German occupation of Denmark during World War II. Due to the initially lenient arrangements, in which the Nazi occupation authority allowed the democratic government to stay in power, the resistance movement was slower to develop effective tactics on a wide scale than in some other countries. Members of the Danish resistance movement were involved in underground activities, ranging from producing illegal publications to spying and sabotage. The resistance was responsible for the rescue of almost all Danish Jews. Major groups included the communist BOPA (, Civil Partisans) and Holger Danske, both based in Copenhagen. Some small resistance groups such as the Samsing Group and the Churchill Club also contributed to the sabotage effort.
