Lalo Schifrin
Boris Claudio "Lalo" Schifrin (born June 21, 1932) is an Argentine-American pianist, composer, arranger and conductor. He is best known for his large body of film and TV scores since the 1950s, incorporating jazz and Latin American musical elements alongside traditional orchestrations. He is a five-time Grammy Award winner, and has been nominated for six Academy Awards and four Emmy Awards. Schifrin's best known compositions include the " Theme from ''Mission: Impossible''", and the scores to '' Cool Hand Luke'' (1967), '' Bullitt'' (1968), ''THX 1138'' (1971), ''Enter the Dragon'' (1973), ''The Four Musketeers'' (1974), '' Voyage of the Damned'' (1976), ''The Amityville Horror'' (1979), and the ''Rush Hour'' trilogy (1998–2007). Michael Lehmann Boddicker (born January 19, 1953) is an American film composer and session musician, specializing in electronic music. He is a three times National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (N.A.R.A.S.) Most Valuable Player "Synthesizer" and MVP Emeritus, he was awarded a Grammy as a songwriter for "Imagination" from '' Flashdance'' in 1984. He is the president of The Lehmann Boddicker Group. Raymond "Ray" Kelley is an American cellist and record producer. He is one of the cellists on '' The Simpsons: Testify'' and '' Family Guy: Live in Vegas'', and Grammy Award winning ''Jonathan Livingston Seagull'' soundtrack album. Since 1956, he has performed classical music for six years in the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, then five years with the Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestra until 1968. John Bahler
John Bahler (born November 11, 1940; surname also spelled Bähler) is an American vocalist, arranger, conductor, composer and producer. He is the elder brother of singer Tom Bahler, and the husband of Janet Lennon of the Lennon Sisters. Early career Bahler and his brother Tom were vocalists in the Ron Hicklin Singers. Together with the Wrecking Crew, they are two of the most recorded singers in history, having appeared on hundreds of television show themes, movie soundtracks, top-40 hits (singing lead and backup), and commercial jingles of the 1960s through the 1980s. The Ron Hicklin Singers were a group of Los Angeles studio singers contracted and organized by Ron Hicklin. They are mostly known as the real singers behind the background vocals on The Partridge Family recordings. Leon "Ndugu" Chancler ( ; July 1, 1952 – February 3, 2018) was an American pop, funk, and jazz drummer. He was also a composer, producer, and university professor. Biography Early life Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, on July 1, 1952, Leon Chancler was the youngest of seven children from the union of Rosie Lee and Henry Nathaniel Chancler. In 1960, the family relocated to Los Angeles, California. Chancler began playing drums when he was thirteen years old. He would publicly reminisce about being asked to leave a classroom for continuously tapping on the desk, only to be later heard tapping on the poles in the hallway. Alejandro Neciosup Acuña (born December 12, 1944), known professionally as Alex Acuña, is a Peruvian-American drummer and percussionist. Background Born in Pativilca, Peru, Acuña played in local bands such as La Orquesta de los Hermanos Neciosup from the age of ten. Acuña then followed his brothers and moved to Lima as a teenager. At the age of eighteen he joined the band of Perez Prado, and in 1965 he moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 1974 Acuña moved to Las Vegas, working with artists such as Elvis Presley, The Temptations, and Diana Ross, and the following year he joined the jazz-fusion group Weather Report, appearing on the albums ''Black Market'' and '' Heavy Weather''.
