Nicolas Dresti
Nicolas Jean-Pierre Patrick Dresti (born 5 March 1975), better known by his stage name Space Cowboy, is a French-British singer-songwriter, DJ, and producer. He is best known for his collaborations with Lady Gaga. Born in France and raised in England, Dresti first recorded in 1992 under the names of Vibes and DJ Apex, releasing breakbeat hardcore tracks. He then changed his stage name to Nicky Fabulous and produced a four track extended play, ''Pussy Galore'' in 1995. He has recorded under various pseudonyms including: DJ Supreme, Kings of Rhythm, Loop Da Loop, and DJ Chrome. In 2002, Dresti changed his stage name to Space Cowboy and did a cover of Prince's song, "I Would Die 4 U." In 2003, Space Cowboy debuted his first studio album '' Across the Sky''. Nogent-sur-Seine () is a commune in the Aube department in north-central France. The headquarters of The Soufflet Group is located here, as is the Musée Camille Claudel. Perfecto Records is a British trance record label, founded by Paul Oakenfold in 1989. Perfecto was also a remix team consisting of Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne and in its later years, Osborne was replaced by Andy Gray. Perfecto Records have provided remixes for U2, Moby, New Order, the Rolling Stones, Simply Red and more. Manifesto Records was a UK based dance music record sub label of Mercury Records which focused on dance music across all genres. The label began operations in 1994 with the first release being a remix of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" (in which they got Summer to re-record vocals as the original masters had been lost in a fire). The label had 13 Top 10 hits before being wound down in 2002 (a move partially brought about to "bottle the labels unique period because of its unprecedented success"). Speed garage (occasionally known as plus-8) is a genre of electronic dance music, associated with the UK garage scene, of which it is regarded as one of its subgenres. Characteristics Speed garage features sped-up NY garage 4-to-the-floor rhythms that are combined with breakbeats. Snares are placed as over the 2nd and the 4th kickdrums, so in other places of the drum pattern. Speed garage tunes have warped, heavy basslines, influenced by jungle and reggae. The Porn Kings were a British dance music group from Liverpool. Originally formed by Davy T, Paul Rowland, and Dan Evans. Davy and Dan were members of 2 Funky 2 most known for the 1993 hit Brothers and Sisters. Davy was also A member of DJs collective alongside Lee Butler, Paul Robertson, and Joe Da Bone who are most known for the 1996 Single Rock to the Rhythm in which some Vinyl copies are scratched out due to a fallout between Davy and Lee. The group's first single was released as a white label called "Pumping the Junk". It featured an original sample from Josh Wink's " Higher State of Consciousness". Rhythm Masters are an English house music duo composed of DJs Robert Chetcuti and Steve Mac, a.k.a. Steve McGuinness. Biography They began mixing together around 1993 after meeting in Malta, doing remixes for, among others, Todd Terry, Michael Jackson, INXS, Junior Vasquez, David Morales, and Roger Sanchez.
