Nicolai Heiselberg (born 5 December 2005) is a motorcycle speedway rider from Denmark. Career Heiselberg reached the final of the 2022 Individual Speedway Junior European Championship. He rides in the Danish Speedway League for Region Varde Elitesport (2022 to 2023) and Ostrów U24 in the Polish league. Region Varde Elitesport and Outrup Speedway Club is a speedway club southwest of Outrup in Denmark, who compete in the Danish Speedway League. History Outrup Speedway Club was founded in November 1973 and the speedway track was opened on 3 July 1976. In 1986, a new stadium opened which was adjacent to the old one and is currently located at the Outrup Speedway Center, Hennevej 35, 6855 Outrup. TZ Ostrovia Ostrów Wielkopolski formerly the Klub Motorowy Ostrów Wielkopolski are a Polish motorcycle speedway team based in Ostrów Wielkopolski who currently race in Ekstraliga. The club never won Team Polish Champion title. They Klub Motorowy Ostrów Wielkopolski folded in 2009 but the town formed the TZ Ostrovia Ostrów Wielkopolski during the same year of 2009. Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four clockwise, anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of soil, dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand). Competitors use this surface to slide their machines sideways, powersliding or broadsiding into the bends. On the straight sections of the track, the motorcycles reach speeds of up to . The 2022 European Individual Speedway Junior Championship was the 25th edition of the Championship. Three qualifying heats took place in Vetlanda Motorstadion (11 June), Žarnovica (30 July) and Plzeň speedway track (3 September). Nicki Pedersen
Nicki Pedersen (born 2 April 1977) is a Danish motorcycle speedway rider. He has won the World Championship in 2003, 2007 and 2008 and was a World Cup winner with Denmark in 2006, 2008, 2012 and 2014. His brother, Ronni Pedersen, has also ridden in the Speedway Grand Prix and World Cup. Career Domestic teams Pedersen began speedway racing aged 11 at Danish club Fjelsted. He started his Polish speedway career in 1999 with Polish second division club Start Gniezno and has since ridden for GTŻ Grudziądz, Wybrzeże Gdańsk, ZKŻ Zielona Góra and ŻKS ROW Rybnik. Between 2006 and 2007 he rode for Stal Rzeszów and since 2008 he has ridden for Włókniarz Częstochowa. Pedersen rides for Dackarna in the Swedish Elitserien, and Holsted in the Danish Super League.
