Region Varde Elitesport
Region Varde Elitesport and Outrup Speedway Club is a speedway club southwest of Outrup in Denmark, who compete in the Danish Speedway League. History Outrup Speedway Club was founded in November 1973 and the speedway track was opened on 3 July 1976. In 1986, a new stadium opened which was adjacent to the old one and is currently located at the Outrup Speedway Center, Hennevej 35, 6855 Outrup. In 2015, the club changed its name from the Outrup Speedway Club to Region Varde Elitesport. The Danish Speedway League ( da, Dansk Speedway Liga) or Danish Super League or Metal League as it is called today is the top division of motorcycle speedway in Denmark. Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four clockwise, anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of soil, dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand). Career Born in Canberra, Morris was successful as a youngster in youth racing in Australia before making the move into British racing in 2010 with Buxton Hitmen in the National League (speedway), National League, the team going on to be crowned champions. Tim Sørensen (born 14 May 2000) is a speedway rider from Denmark. Speedway career Sørensen came to prominence during the 2020 season when he was part of the Danish team that won the silver medal at the 2020 Team Speedway Junior World Championship. The following year he was once again selected by Denmark for the event and won the silver medal again at the 2021 Team Speedway Junior World Championship. He was also the Danish Under 21 Individual Speedway Championship winner in 2021. In 2022, he made his debut for a Polish side representing Ostrów, he had previously signed for Orzeł Łódź in 2020 but the COVID-19 pandemic meant that he could not ride. Timo Lahti
Timo Lahti (born 16 July 1992) is a speedway rider from Finland. Career Lahti started his British career riding for the Eastbourne Eagles in 2011. He became the national champion of Finland after winning the Finnish Individual Speedway Championship in 2012. After a total of four seasons at Eastbourne he left after the 2014 season. He won a further five national championships from 2015 to 2019 consecutively before being deposed by Tero Aarnio. Before the 2017 win he had returned to British speedway by riding in the top tier for the Poole Pirates in the SGB Premiership 2017. In 2021, he regained his Finnish title which brought his total number of national titles to seven.
