Nic Fanciulli
Nicholas Anthony “Nic” Fanciulli (born August 25, 1979, in Kenya) is an electronic music artist, DJ and label owner. Career Fanciulli began his career in music at Plastic Surgery Records, Maidstone where he worked for two years in the early 2000s. Inspired by Laurent Garnier he began to DJ, handing out demo tapes to local promoters in Maidstone. Among them was Sergio (Serge) Bienati, promoter of well-known local event brand ClubClass. Nic slipped him several anonymous tapes, after receiving the third tape Serge went on a manhunt, eventually tracking Nic down and giving him his break. Serge gave Nic a residency in the main room at ClubClass at a club called Atomics when he was 19 and signed him to the Club Class booking agency in 2003. In 1998 Fanciulli set up his own label, Portent Records, putting out his first release ‘Dockside’ (with Matt Blewett) in 2000. Maidstone
Maidstone is the largest Town status in the United Kingdom, town in Kent, England, of which it is the county town. Maidstone is historically important and lies 32 miles (51 km) east-south-east of London. The River Medway runs through the centre of the town, linking it with Rochester, Kent, Rochester and the Thames Estuary. Multiply Records
Multiply Records was a subsidiary of Telstar Records, that launched in 1993 and went into liquidation in 2004. Its major signings included Sash!, Phats & Small and the Cheeky Girls. It was the brainchild of Mike Hall, who already worked for the parent company Telstar.Early successes included signing Bassment Jaxx's "Flylife", TJR feat Xavier's "Just Gets Better", one of the garage scene's foremost hits, as well as Lil Mo Yin Yang's "Reach", and Junior Vasquez's "If Madonna Calls". As a label they balanced credible releases with commercial hits, and enjoyed considerable success, as well as providing content for Telstar's huge compilation business. Yoshitoshi Recordings
Yoshitoshi Recordings is a dance music record label which is owned and operated by (Washington, D.C.) house producer Sharam. It was founded in 1994. While pigeonholed as a progressive label, its releases in fact cover a broad spectrum of modern dance music, reflecting the eclectic tastes of its owners. The first release on the label was Submarine's self-titled single. Deep Dish developed offshoot dance labels ''Deep Dish,'' ''Shinichi'' and ''Yo'' as well, each catering to a slightly different genre of house music. In addition, they owned and operated a retail store (also named ''Yoshitoshi'') in the Georgetown area of D.C. The store sold an extensive selection of dance records of all genres including drum n bass and breakbeat, as well as clothing, mixtapes and record bags. Farringdon is a small district in Central London, the southern part of the London Borough of Islington. The term is used to describe the area around Farringdon station. Homelands was a music festival run by Mean Fiddler Music Group (now known as Festival Republic) which consisted mainly of dance music, both live acts and DJs. The festival was held in locations in England, Scotland and Ireland in the period 1999 to 2005. The organisers of Homelands were also behind the Home (Nightclub Chain), Home Nightclubs chain including Home (Nightclub), Home Nightclub in London and Sydney. The English festivals were held at Cheesefoot Head near Winchester, Hampshire, and was one of the most popular British festivals of this genre. The Scottish festivals were held in Royal Highland Showground near Edinburgh in 1999, and was held close to New Cumnock in the south of Scotland in 2000. Space (, , ) was a superclub on the island of Ibiza, Spain from 1986 to 2016, owned by STANCA. It was awarded "Best Global Club" at the International Dance Music Awards in 2005, 2006, 2012, 2013, and 2014. Space was located in Platja d'en Bossa on the outskirts of Ibiza Town, close to the airport. In 2017 the venue reopened under the name Hï Ibiza. History Space first opened in early summer of 1986.
