Newton Sterling
Newton Sterling (born 12 November 1984) is a Jamaican footballer who currently plays for Antigua Barracuda FC in the USL Professional Division. Club career Sterling began his career in the Jamaica National Premier League, playing for Harbour View, Real Mona and Constant Spring, before moving to Israel in 2005 to play for Hapoel Jerusalem. He played just two games for the club before moving to Norway to play for Sogndal on a short-term contract. Sterling returned to Jamaica in late 2006 to play for Village United. After taking part in a two-month trial at Swedish team GIF Sundsvall, and training with Charleston Battery in the spring of 2007, he joined Portmore United, and spent the next four seasons with the club. He was part of the Portmore team that won the Jamaica National Premier League title in 2008. He also spent time on loan with Waterhouse in 2008 and Arnett Gardens in 2009. Morant Bay
Morant Bay is a town in southeastern Jamaica and the capital of the parish of St. Thomas, located about 25 miles east of Kingston, the capital. The parish has a population of 94,410. During the nineteenth century, the parish was an area of sugar cane plantations, with a majority of black enslave descendant after the abolition of slavery. The Morant Bay Rebellion started on October 11, 1865, with a march by hundreds of people from the parish to the court house to protest poor conditions in the parish. The National Premier League, also known for sponsorship purposes as the Red Stripe Premier League, is sanctioned by the Jamaican Football Federation as the top division for men's association football in Jamaica. Contested between 12 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Jamaica's regional Super Leagues where the two lowest placed teams are relegated to their corresponding local second division league. The United States men's national soccer team (USMNT) represents the United States in men's international soccer competitions. The team is controlled by the United States Soccer Federation and is a member of FIFA and CONCACAF. Cuba National Football Team
The Cuba national football team ( es, Selección de fútbol de Cuba) represents Cuba in men's international football and it is controlled by the Football Association of Cuba. Nicknamed Leones del Caribe (''Lions of Caribbean''), the team represents all three FIFA, Caribbean Football Union and Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF).
