Captain Jack is a German Eurodance and dance-rock project formed in Darmstadt, Germany, in 1995. The project is best known for the single "Captain Jack", which reached the Top-10 in many countries in Europe. History and career 1995–1996: Career beginnings The original formation consisted of Sharky Durban and Liza da Costa. They recorded the songs "Dam, Dam, Dam" and "Captain Jack". Rank 1 is a Dutch trance group, formed in the Netherlands in 1997. Widely regarded as one of the originators of the Dutch trance sound, the group have produced a number of dancefloor hits since their conception. Although the two members of the group (Benno de Goeij and Piet Bervoets) had worked together before, Rank 1 (a name first used in 1999) was their first project with commercial success. Angelic (band)
Angelic was a British trance group featuring Darren Tate, Judge Jules and Jules's wife, Amanda O'Riordan. History In 1999, when Judge Jules and Darren Tate launched their collaboration named Angelic, Jules was already a successful club and radio DJ. For Darren Tate, the project was the beginning of his musical career. Jules' wife Amanda was featured as a singer in the project. The debut single "It's My Turn" was successful, reaching number 11 and remaining on the UK Singles Chart for 10 weeks. Instrumentally, the track was based on their previously-issued remix of "Change" by Sunscreem, slightly shortened and with new lyrics. The song was also remixed by Rank 1 and 4 Strings. Fragma
Fragma are a German vocal trance music group, originally comprising three producers. The group was successful in the early 2000s when they released several singles that charted successfully across Europe, especially the United Kingdom and Ireland, but also found some success in the United States and Australia. They continued to produce music until 2012 following the departure of vocalist Damae. After several years of hiatus, Fragma recruited a new vocalist in 2017, Tess, to front the group. Binary Finary are a British trance act, originally comprising Matt Laws, Ricky Grant and Stuart Matheson. They are best known for the dance hit single "1998", especially for the Paul van Dyk and Gouryella remixes, which charted in many countries. The song was remixed numerous times under the title of the year the remix was produced ("1999" and "2000" etc.), many of which were popular. In the UK, "1998" reached a peak position of No. 24 in the UK Singles Chart whereas "1999" reached No. 11. It was covered by the indie group Peace in the song, " 1998 (Delicious)".
