"Never Ever Let You Go", originally released as "Der står et billede af dig på mit bord" (; ), is a 2001 song by Danish musical duo Rollo & King. The song represented Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 after winning ''Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2001'', Denmark's national final for the contest. Background The song is from the perspective of a man who has lost his lover. He pleads with her to return and promises that he will "never ever let you go". Production Originally, the band had planned to enter the ''Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2001'' with a song called "Den eneste ene" (; "The only one"). However, the song was rejected by Mega Records, with the director saying "it's shit". Denmark was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 with the song " Never Ever Let You Go", written by Søren Poppe, Stefan Nielsen, and Thomas Brekling, and performed by the duo Rollo & King. Malene Winther Mortensen (born 23 May 1982) is a Danish singer. She entered the Danish music scene in 2001, during the first season of ''Stjerne for en aften'', the Danish edition of '' Star for a Night''. She made it to the finals, with her rendition of Moloko's "Sing It Back". Frank Jensen
Frank Jensen (born 28 May 1961) is a former Danish politician of the Danish Social Democrats who served as Lord Mayor of Copenhagen between 2010 and 2020. He was Minister for Research from 1994 to 1996 and Minister of Justice from 1996 to 2001 under Poul Nyrup Rasmussen. Jensen is an educated economist and holds a master's degree in economics from Aalborg University which he received in 1986. Antique is a Swedish-Greek musical duo consisting of Helena Paparizou (; born 1982) and Nikos Panagiotidis (; born 1978), originating from Sweden and combining Greek popular music and lyrics with a Nordic dance-pop beat. Both Paparizou and Panagiotidis were born and raised in Sweden by Greek parents. They were the first ever to be nominated for a Swedish Grammis in the category modern dance with a Greek song. In 2001, Antique were selected to represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen with the song " Die for You", sung in a blend of English and Greek, ending with a third place – only behind Estonia and hosts Denmark.
