Neuilly-sur-Seine (; 'Neuilly-on-Seine'), also known simply as Neuilly, is an urban Communes of France, commune in the Hauts-de-Seine Departments of France, department just west of Paris in France. Immediately adjacent to the city, north of the Bois de Boulogne, the area is composed of mostly select residential neighbourhoods, as well as many corporate headquarters and a handful of foreign embassies. One of the most affluent areas of France, it is the wealthiest and most expensive suburb of Paris. The (, ''City hall (administration), City Hall'') is a municipal building in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine in the northwestern suburbs of Paris, France, standing on Avenue Achille Peretti. It has been included on the ''General inventory of cultural heritage, Inventaire général des monuments'' by the French Ministry of Culture since 1992. History Following the French Revolution, the town council led by the mayor, Nicolas Delaizement, initially met at a room adjoining the Church of Saint John the Baptist on what is now Avenue Charles-de-Gaulle, before relocating to a house on Rue de Madrid (now Rue du Château) in 1809. In the early 1830s, the council decided to commission a dedicated town hall and selected a site on Place Parmentier. Jean-Christophe Fromantin
Jean-Christophe Fromantin (born 30 August 1962) is a French businessman and politician. He has been Mayor of Neuilly-sur-Seine since 2008. After launching the party Territoires en mouvement, he was elected deputy for the sixth district of Hauts-de-Seine in 2012. He did not seek re-election in 2017, preferring to keep his mandate as mayor. Elected to the Hauts-de-Seine departmental council in 2021, he became vice-president. The Synagogue of Neuilly () is an Orthodox Jewish congregation and synagogue, located at 12 rue Ancelle, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, in the Hauts-de-Seine department, west of Paris, France.
