Neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (NAITP, NAIT, NATP or NAT) is a disease that affects babies in which the platelet count is decreased because the mother's immune system attacks her fetus' or newborn's platelets. A low platelet count increases the risk of bleeding in the fetus and newborn.  If the bleeding occurs in the brain, there may be long-term effects. Platelet antigens are inherited from both mother and father. is caused by antibodies specific for platelet antigens inherited from the father but which are absent in the mother. Tamponade
Tamponade () is the closure or blockage (as of a wound or body cavity) by or as if by a tampon, especially to stop bleeding. Tamponade is a useful method of stopping a hemorrhage. This can be achieved by applying an absorbent dressing directly into a wound, thereby absorbing excess blood and creating a blockage, or by applying direct pressure with a hand or a tourniquet. Not to be confused with a tamponade that occurs as a result of health problems. Immunoglobulin therapy is the use of a mixture of antibodies (normal human immunoglobulin) to treat several health conditions.
