Neculai Munteanu
Neculai Constantin Munteanu (n. 16 November 1941, Pufești, Vrancea County) is a Romanian dissident. Through his shows on Radio Free Europe he became known for condemning Nicolae Ceaușescu's regime, which lasted until 1989. His shows were secretly listened to by millions of Romanians. After the fall of communism, Munteanu hosted a show on Radio Free Europe titled "Eu și câinele meu, Securitatea" ("Me and my dog, the Securitate The Department of State Security (), commonly known as the Securitate (, ), was the secret police agency of the Socialist Republic of Romania. Neculai Onțanu
Neculai Onțanu (born September 13, 1949) is a Romanian politician who has served as mayor of Bucharest's Sector 2. Biography Born in Pângărați, Neamț County, Onțanu worked as construction worker between 1968 and 1995, becoming a construction foreman on apartment buildings construction sites. In 1986, he was admitted as part-time learner in the Ștefan Gheorghiu Academy, the university which trained cadres of the Communist Party of Romania. After the Romanian Revolution, Onțanu joined the Socialist Party of Labour, becoming its vicepresident, as well as the president of the Bucharest organization. Between 1995 and 1996, he was a parliamentary expert at the Chamber of Deputies, while between 1996 and 2000, he was a member of the General Council of Bucharest. He resigned from the party in May 1999 and joined the Party of Social Democracy in Romania. Neculai Rățoi
Neculai Rățoi (March 15, 1939 – April 25, 2016) was a Romanian politician who served as the mayor of Pașcani from 1981–2008 and as a member of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania from 2008 to 2012. He was a member of the Social Democratic Party. Rățoi worked for many years as a locomotive engineer at the CFR Depot Pașcani. He was decorated in February 1973 with the Order of Labor, 1st class.
