Nathan Harper
Nathan Earnest Harper is a convicted felon and former Chief of the Pittsburgh Police, a position he held from October 31, 2006, to February 20, 2013. Prior to this appointment he was the long-time "Assistant Chief in Charge" of the Investigations Branch. He is Pittsburgh's third African-American Chief of Police. Education and early career Harper graduated from Schenley High School and was a resident of Stanton Heights, he joined the police bureau in 1977. He served as a patrol officer, K-9 officer and plainclothes investigator before being promoted to administrative positions, the narcotics unit and investigations. In the 1990s Harper spearheaded the formation of the city's Street Response Unit and was previously a Sergeant in the city's Traffic Division. Regina McDonald
Regina McDonald is a longtime Pittsburgh Police leader, who was named acting Pittsburgh Police Chief on February 20, 2013, its first woman chief. In January 2004 she became only the second woman to hold an assistant chief's rank in the bureau, becoming assistant chief of investigations after 4 years of heading the 45 detective strong narcotics and vice squad. Prior to 2004 she was named acting supervisor of the investigative branch on several occasions that then Chief McNeily was called into military reserve service. She was promoted to commander in 1995. Chief McDonald is a lifelong resident of the Sheraden neighborhood and before joining the bureau in 1978 was a long time teacher and then city park administrator—at one point in the mid-1970s actually holding down three jobs. Earl Woodyard
Earl Daniel Woodyard Jr. (June 17, 1946 – April 6, 2015) was a longtime Pittsburgh Police leader, who was appointed acting Pittsburgh Police Chief from September 29, 2006 – October 31, 2006, after the death of mayor Bob O'Connor. Woodyard’s career with the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police spans 33 years during which time, he worked his through the ranks from uniformed officer to Deputy Chief. The Pittsburgh Police (PBP), officially the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, is the largest law enforcement agency in Western Pennsylvania and the third largest in Pennsylvania. The Federal Correctional Institution, Pekin (FCI Pekin) is a medium-security United States federal prison for male inmates in Illinois. It is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a division of the United States Department of Justice.
