Nanne Bergstrand
Kurt Arne "Nanne" René Bergstrand (born 28 April 1956) is a Swedish Manager (association football), football manager and former football player. He has previously coached Helsingborgs IF, Östers IF, Kalmar FF and Hammarby Fotboll, Hammarby IF in Allsvenskan. His over ten-year tenure as manager of Kalmar FF made him the tenth longest-serving manager in European first-division football at the time according to UEFA. During the later years of his career at Kalmar FF he was sometimes referred to as the Swedish equivalent to Alex Ferguson. Playing career A forward (association football), forward, Bergstrand started playing first team football at the age of 16 for the local small town club Markaryds IF. He had short spells at Allsvenskan clubs Halmstads BK and Kalmar FF as well as a trial with Manchester City F.C., Manchester City in 1980, who were unable to sign him due to work permit issues. The 2014 Superettan, part of the 2014 Swedish football season, was the 15th season of Superettan, Sweden's second-tier football league in its current format. The 2014 fixtures were released on 20 December 2013. The season started on 5 April 2014 and concluded on 2 November 2014. Svenska Supercupen, ''Swedish Super Cup'', was a one-off fixture in Swedish football played between the Allsvenskan champions and the winners of Svenska Cupen. The fixture was played in November, after the Allsvenskan season. In the event of a club winning the double (as AIK did in 2009 and Helsingborg in 2011) the runner up of the Allsvenskan would take part. In 2011, Helsingborgs IF became the first team to have won Svenska Supercupen and not being the defending Allsvenskan champions. The winner of Svenska Supercupen received a prize money of 250,000 SEK. Svenska cupen (, ), also known as the Swedish Cup in English, is a knockout cup competition in Swedish football and the main Swedish football cup. ''Svenska cupen'' usually refers to the men's tournament, although a women's tournament is also held. Each year 96 teams compete, comprising the 16 teams from Allsvenskan and the 16 teams of Superettan together with 64 teams from lower tiers of the league system. The winners qualify for the qualifying stages of the UEFA Europa League. The winner is awarded the Gustaf VI Adolf cup. Compared to cups in many other countries, Svenska cupen attracts considerably less public interest and even the cup final is rarely sold out. The 2016 season was Hammarby Fotboll, Hammarby Fotboll's 101st in existence, their 47th season in Allsvenskan and their 2nd consecutive season in the league.
