Nagashekar
Nagashekar is an Indian screenplay writer, writer, film director, film actor, actor and film producer, producer primarily working in Kannada cinema. Starting his career as an actor in ''Ninagagi'' (2002), he went on to feature in supporting roles in about 50 films until he turned into film direction, direction for the film, ''Aramane'' in 2008. Later, he directed successful films such as ''Sanju Weds Geetha'' (2011), ''Myna (film), Myna'' (2013) and ''Maasthi Gudi'' (2017). He debuted into the Telugu language, Telugu cinema with the film ''Gurthunda Seethakalam'' (2022). He co-produced, directed and acted in Tamil language, Tamil film ''November Mazhaiyil Naanum Avalum'' (2023). For ''Sanju Weds Geetha'' (2011), Nagashekar won the SIIMA Awards, Best director award at the 1st South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA Awards). Myna (film)
''Myna'' is a 2013 Indian Kannada language romance drama film written and directed by Nagashekar. Based on a real-life incident, the film was produced by N. S. Rajkumar for Vajreshwari Combines. Chetan Kumar and Nithya Menen played the lead roles. Jassie Gift is the music director for the film. The film won Filmfare Award for Best Film – Kannada. The film is currently being remade in Hindi. Plot The film begins with Satya being chased by the police. He is caught and is charged with a 34 serial murder case. ''Sanju Weds Geetha'' is a 2011 Indian Kannada-language romance film directed and written by Nagashekar and produced by Pramod Narayan, starring Srinagar Kitty and Ramya in the lead roles. Jassie Gift composed the soundtrack, while Sadhu Kokila composed the background score. The film was released on 1 April 2011. The film was successful at the box-office upon release and won many critical acclaims and awards including the Karnataka State Film Awards, Filmfare Awards South and Suvarna Film Awards in various categories. 1st South Indian International Movie Awards
The 1st South Indian International Movie Awards were presented on June 22, 2012, in Dubai, UAE, to honour the best cinematic achievements of the South Indian film industry in the year 2011. Producing films in four Dravidian languages of South India, professionals were handed over a total of 71 Awards. The ceremony was hosted by R.
