Nadine Labaki (; born February 18, 1974) is a Lebanese people, Lebanese and Canadians, Canadian Actor, actress, Film director, director, and Activism, activist. Labaki first came into the spotlight as an actress in the early 2000s. Her filmmaking career began in 2007 after the release of her debut film, ''Caramel (film), Caramel'', which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. She is known for demonstrating everyday aspects of Lebanese life and covering a range of political issues such as war, poverty, and feminism. She is the first female Arabs, Arab director to be nominated for an Academy Awards, Oscar in the category for Best Foreign Language Film for her third directorial effort, ''Capernaum (film), Capernaum'' (2018). Baabdat
Baabdat () is a town located in the Matn District of Mount Lebanon, 22 km from Beirut at an altitude ranging between 600 and 1100 meters above sea level.
