NGDEV
NGDEV, formerly NG:Dev.Team, is a German video game developer and publisher. Founded in 2001 by brothers Timm and René Hellwig, it is known for developing homebrew for the Neo Geo and Dreamcast. History German brothers Timm and René Hellwig began developing doujin video games in 2000. Being fans of the Neo Geo, they started reverse engineering the hardware and were able to start developing prototypes. They founded NG:Dev.Team in 2001. In 2006, NG:Dev.Team released their first game, ''Last Hope''. Only 60 copies were produced for the Neo Geo. Realizing an opportunity for greater commercial success, they signed with homebrew publisher RedSpotGames in 2007 to release copies for the Dreamcast. Surprised by the success of the Dreamcast version, the Hellwigs turned their game development hobby into full-time work, and began development on their next game ''Fast Striker''. Gunlord
''Gunlord'' is a 2012 single-player run and gun video game developed and published by German indie NG:Dev.Team for the Neo Geo MVS. It is the first run and gun title from NG:Dev.Team and their third game overall. Taking place after the events of '' Last Hope'', the player assume the role of Gordian Gaiden facing against an evil lord called "The Master" on planet Kairos II while searching for his wife Vanessa, who went missing after defeating the evil empire. Inspired by 16-bit titles such as '' Turrican'', the game originally started development in 2003 but was postponed for various years until the project was resumed in 2010, lasting eighteenth months in production. ''Fast Striker'' is a video game developed and published by German developer NG:Dev.Team in 2010 for the Neo Geo MVS. The player flies a space fighter craft through vertically scrolling levels to shoot waves of enemies. The game was later ported to Dreamcast, iOS, Neo Geo AES, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. ''Fast Striker'' was developed in conjunction with HUCAST's ''DUX'' over the course of six years after the Hellwig brothers founded NG:Dev.Team and development of their first video game, '' Last Hope'', was completed. Dreamcast
The is a home video game console released by Sega on November 27, 1998, in Japan; September 9, 1999, in North America; and October 14, 1999, in Europe. It was the first sixth-generation video game console, preceding Sony's PlayStation 2, Nintendo's GameCube and Microsoft's Xbox, and it was Sega's final console, ending the company's eighteen years in the console market.
