N. S. Harsha
N. S. Harsha (born 1969) is an Indian contemporary artist from Mysore. He works in many media including painting, sculpture, site-specific installation, and public works. A major retrospective of the artist took place at the Mori Art Museum, Tokyo, in 2017. Early life Harsha earned a BFA in painting from Chamarajendra Academy of Visual Arts, Mysore in 1992 and an MFA in painting from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda in 1995. Work His works "depict daily experiences in Mysore, southern India, where he is based, but also reflect wider cultural, political and economic globalization issues" and explore the "absurdity of the real world, representation and abstraction, and repeating images". His practice has been inspired by Indian popular and miniature painting. Mysore (), officially Mysuru (), is a city in the southern part of the state of Karnataka, India. São Paulo Art Biennial
The São Paulo Art Biennial ( Portuguese: ''Bienal de São Paulo'') was founded in 1951 and has been held every two years since. It is the second oldest art biennial in the world after the Venice Biennale (in existence since 1895), which serves as its role model. MAXXI
MAXXI ( it, Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo, italic=no, "national museum of 21st-century arts") is a national museum of contemporary art and architecture in the Flaminio neighborhood of Rome, Italy. The museum is managed by a foundation created by the Italian ministry of cultural heritage. The building was designed by Zaha Hadid, and won the Stirling Prize of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 2010. History An international design competition for the design of the museum building was won by Zaha Hadid. Her submission included five separate structures, of which only one was completed. The Musée d'art contemporain de Lyon is a museum devoted to contemporary art, located in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon, in the Cité Internationale, next to the cinema, in front of the Parc de la Tête d'Or. The Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art is a privately owned contemporary art gallery in Oslo in Norway. It was founded and opened to the public in 1993. The collection's main focus is the American appropriation artists from the 1980s, but it is currently developing towards the international contemporary art scene, with artists like Jeff Koons, Richard Prince, Cindy Sherman, Matthew Barney, Tom Sachs, Doug Aitken, Olafur Eliasson, and Cai Guo-Qiang. The Serpentine Galleries are two contemporary art galleries in Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, Central London.
