Münchner Volkstheater
Münchner Volkstheater, or Munich People's Theater, is a company based in the Bavarian capital and operated by the cultural office of the city government. Its original performing home opened in 1903. This was rebuilt in 1955, in 1983 and finally in 2021. It now can hold over 800 spectators. Since 2002, Christian Stückl has served as the company's Opera management, Intendant. Old building In 1903, the architects Gerstenecker and Tittrich in the Josephspitalstraße in the district Altstadt-Lehel, designed and built a reinforced concrete constructed building. It opened with Friedrich Schiller, Schiller's ''Kabale und Liebe'' (''Intrigue and Love''). It had about 1000 seats. Then actress Elise Aulinger received her first theatre engagement here. Jean-Baptiste Poquelin (; 15 January 1622 (baptised) – 17 February 1673), known by his stage name Molière (, ; ), was a French playwright, actor, and poet, widely regarded as one of the great writers in the French language and world literature. A Midsummer Night's Dream
''A Midsummer Night's Dream'' is a Comedy (drama), comedy play written by William Shakespeare in about 1595 or 1596. The play is set in Athens, and consists of several subplots that revolve around the marriage of Theseus and Hippolyta. One subplot involves a conflict among four Athenian lovers. Another follows a group of six amateur actors rehearsing the play which they are to perform before the wedding. Both groups find themselves in a forest inhabited by fairies who manipulate the humans and are engaged in their own domestic intrigue. Schiller
Johann Christoph Friedrich von Schiller (, short: ; 10 November 17599 May 1805) was a German playwright, poet, philosopher and historian. Schiller is considered by most Germans to be Germany's most important classical playwright. He was born in Marbach to a devoutly Protestant family. Initially intended for the priesthood, in 1773 he entered a military academy in Stuttgart and ended up studying medicine. His first play, '' The Robbers'', was written at this time and proved very successful. After a brief stint as a regimental doctor, he left Stuttgart and eventually wound up in Weimar. Helmut Fischer
Helmut Fischer (15 November 1926 – 14 June 1997) was a popular, award-winning German actor. Life Helmut Fischer was the son of a businessman and a tailor who grew up in the Munich district of at 50a, where he also went to school. When the secondary school rejected him, he joined Otto Falckenberg's drama school, which he quit after a short time. Subsequently, Fischer worked as a stage actor. In 1952, he debuted at Würzburg city theatre in the role of Albrecht III in Friedrich Hebbel's ''Agnes Bernauer''. The reviews were devastating. For almost 20 years, Fischer remained largely unknown and was only cast in minor supporting roles. Adolf Gustav Rupprecht Maximilian "Gustl" Bayrhammer (12 February 1922 – 24 April 1993) was a Bavarian actor. He appeared in more than 70 films and television shows between 1964 and 1993.
