''My Better Half'' is a collaborative studio album by Tex Perkins and Tim Rogers, credited to TnT. It was initially meant to be an extended play to sell at shows, but the recording process resulted in a full-length album. The album was released in September 2006 and peaked at number 31 on the ARIA Charts. Gregory Stephen Perkins (born 28 December 1964), better known by his stage name Tex Perkins, is an Australian singer-songwriter who fronted the Australian rock band The Cruel Sea, but has also performed with the Beasts of Bourbon, Thug, James Baker Experience, The Butcher Shop, Salamander Jim, and Tex, Don and Charlie. Kim Salmon
Kim Leith Salmon (born 24 January 1957) is an Australian rock musician and songwriter from Perth. He has worked in various groups including The Scientists, Beasts of Bourbon, Kim Salmon and the Surrealists, Kim Salmon and the Business, and Darling Downs. Australian rock musicologist, Ian McFarlane, described Salmon as one of the first Australians to "embrace wholeheartedly the emergent punk phenomenon of the mid-to-late 1970s" with The Scientists. He declared that Beasts of Bourbon were "masters of uncompromising gutbucket blues and hard-edged rock'n'roll". In 2004 Salmon was inducted into the West Australian Music Industry Association Hall of Fame and in 2007, into the Music Victoria Awards Hall of Fame. Shane O'Mara (musician)
Shane O'Mara is an Australian musician and record producer. He worked with Stephen Cummings as a member of Stephen Cummings' Lovetown, Good Humour and the Stephen Cummings Band and co-produced the albums ''A New Kind of Blue'' (1989), ''Good Humour'' (1991) and ''Unguided Tour'' (1992). He played with Chris Wilson in the Chris Wilson Band which released an EP, ''The Big One'', in May and a studio album, ''Landlocked'', in June 1992, and he backed Wilson in ''Live at the Continental'' (October 1994). He formed Rebecca's Empire with then partner Rebecca Barnard (also part of Cumming's backing bands). "Tonight's the Night (Gonna Be Alright)" is a song written by Rod Stewart, and recorded at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Sheffield, Alabama for his 1976 album '' A Night on the Town''. The song, controversial at the time of release, proved to be a massive commercial success and became his second US chart topper on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. It made its debut at number 81 on 2 October 1976 and rose quickly, climbing from number eight to the top of the chart on 13 November 1976, and remained on top for eight consecutive weeks until 8 January 1977. It was produced by Casablanca Records president Neil Bogart and the band itself as the label's financial situation at the time did not permit the hiring of a professional producer. Clocking in at 30 minutes and 7 seconds, ''Dressed to Kill'' has the shortest runtime of any Kiss studio album. Album information Possibly due to the short length of the album, original vinyl versions had long pauses between each track to make the sides longer than they would be based on the material they had. The Scientists
The Scientists are a post-punk band from Perth, Western Australia, led by Kim Salmon, initially known as the Exterminators and then the Invaders. The band had two primary incarnations: the Perth-based punk rock, punk band of the late 1970s and the Sydney/London-based swamp rock band of the 1980s. In October 2010, ''Blood Red River'' (1983) was included in the list in the book ''100 Best Australian Albums''. Paul Warren Dean (born February 19, 1946) is a Canadian musician and the lead guitarist of the Canadian rock band Loverboy which reached huge fame in the early 1980s. Biography Growing up in Calgary, Alberta, Dean first started out playing washtub bass at the age of 12, followed by a plastic wind-up ukulele, which he received for Christmas at 13. He received his first guitar 2 months later, an acoustic, which he commenced to smash using it as a badminton racket. He next saved to buy his first electric guitar later that summer.
