Hermann A. M. Mucke (born 4 September 1955) is an Austrian bioscientist with a peer-review publishing record in the fields of molecular biology, neuropsychiatry, cardiology and ophthalmology, mostly from the perspective of drug development. He is also a management consultant and entrepreneur working and publishing in biopharmaceutical strategic knowledge management, intellectual property management, and life science technology assessment. Academic career Hermann Mucke attended the University of Vienna where he obtained his master and Ph.D. degrees in biochemistry. Hermann Mucke (astronomer)
Hermann B. W. Mucke (March 1, 1935 – March 12, 2019) was an Austrian astronomer and one of the most significant promoters of amateur astronomy in German-speaking Europe. He was born and died in Vienna. Career Mucke studied physics at the Vienna University of Technology but under the influence of his teacher and mentor Oswald Thomas he soon took up the challenge of adult education in astronomy. In 1964 he was made head of the new Vienna city planetarium and made it an internationally reputed institution during his directorship. From 1971 onward Mucke was also the scientific director of the Urania educational observatory. On occasion of his retirement from both positions in 2000, the asteroid 7074 Muckea was named in honor of Hermann Mucke. Manuela Mucke (born 30 January 1975 in Wittenberg, Sachsen-Anhalt) is a German sprint canoer who competed from the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s (decade). Competing in two Summer Olympics, she won two gold medals in the K-4 500 m event, earning them in 1996 and 2000. Hellmuth Von Mücke
Hellmuth von Mücke (21 June 1881 – 30 July 1957) was an Officer of the Kaiserliche Marine, the navy of the German Empire, in the early 20th century and World War I. Early life Mücke was born on 21 June 1881 in Zwickau, Saxony. He was a son of an Army Captain who later joined the Imperial Civil Service. At the age of 18, Mücke became a naval cadet and served on the schoolship ''Charlotte'' and later the battleship ''Kaiser Friedrich III''. He became Leutnant zur See in September 1903 and was posted to the light cruiser ''Nymphe''. In 1907, he became first officer of the 3rd Torpedo Boat Reserve Half-Flotilla and a year later a flag lieutenant to the Commander of Scouting Forces. Arnošt Muka (German: ''Ernst Mucke''; 10 March 1854 – 10 October 1932) was a German and Sorbian writer, linguist and man of science. Muka was born in Großhänchen which is now in the municipality of Burkau, and studied theology, classical languages and Slavonic in Leipzig. Because of his activities in connection with the Sorbian languages, he was sent to teach in a gymnasium in Chemnitz in 1883, and later to Freiberg. Stefan Mücke (born 22 November 1981) is a German professional racing driver. Racing career Born in Berlin, Mücke started his racing career in 1998, when he won the Formula BMW ADAC series, with his father's Mücke Motorsport team, also making their debut. He competed in German Formula Three for his father's team for the next three years, before moving to the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters for 2002. He raced Mercedes for Team Rosberg, Persson Motorsport and Mücke Motorsport in his four years in the series. Ich Troje ("The Three of Them") is a Polish pop band. Ich Troje was founded in 1996 by songwriter Michał Wiśniewski and composer Jacek Łągwa. Carl Wilhelm Ludwig Muecke (16 July 1815 – 4 January 1898), occasionally written Mücke and frequently referred to as "Dr Muecke", was a German-born clergyman, plant pathologist and German-language newspaper editor in the colony of South Australia. History Muecke was born in Möckern, near Magdeberg, and was originally destined for a career in mining, which he studied at Freiberg, but after experiencing an accident in the mines, his father sent him to the University of Bonn, where he took his degrees. He served for a time as an observer on the Luxembourg border during the 1831 war between Belgium and Holland. He began teaching chemistry, and became an activist for the cause of compulsory education in State schools. Charles Andrew Muecke (February 20, 1918 – September 21, 2007) was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. Education and career Born in New York City, New York, Muecke received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William & Mary in 1941 and a Bachelor of Laws from the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona in 1953. He was a United States Marine Corps Major during World War II, from 1942 to 1946, and remained at that rank in the United States Marine Corps Reserve until 1950. Hugo Carl Emil Muecke (8 July 1842 – 6 June 1929) was a businessman and politician in the colony and State of South Australia. History Muecke was born the eldest child of Dr. Carl Muecke (16 July 1815 – ) at Rathenow, near Berlin, and was brought to South Australia by his parents when only seven years of age. They settled at Tanunda, among many other German settlers, where his father became a Lutheran minister, and was later editor of ''Australische Zeitung'', South Australia's major German-language newspaper, but returned to Germany in 1869. Ada Jemima Crossley (3 March 1871 – 17 October 1929) was an Australian contralto notable as the first Red Seal recording artist engaged in the US by the Victor Talking Machine Company in 1903. Born at Tarraville, Gippsland, Victoria, she was the daughter of Edwards Wallis Crossley (died 11 April 1902), an ironmonger, and Harriette, née Morris, both from Northamptonshire, England. Ada was the sixth surviving child in a family of twelve children. Jonathan Muecke (born 1983) is an American designer and architect, based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. Education Muecke studied architecture at Iowa State University, interning at the architectural office of Herzog & de Meuron in Basel, Switzerland before studying design at the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
