''Motion'' is the fourth studio album by Congolese-born singer TRESOR. It was released through Jacquel Entertainment Group on October 15, 2021, and features guest appearances from local South African musicians such as Ami Faku, Msaki, Da Capo, Sun-El Musician and Scorpion Kings (Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa). Mukengerwa Tresor Riziki (born 24 April 1987), best known by his stage name TRESOR, is a Congolese-born singer, songwriter, music producer, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He gained prominence in 2015 after releasing his single "Mount Everest" from his debut album, ''VII''. His name "Tresor", when translated from French, means "treasure". Early life and career TRESOR was born on the 24th of April 1987 in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo. He is one of eight siblings. Orphaned at the age of seventeen, he left his home in 2007 after completing high school. He listened to music from musicians such as Hugh Masekela, Papa Wemba and Miriam Makeba. Amanda Faku (born May 28, 1993) is a South African singer, performer and songwriter. Born and raised in the township of eZinyoka, Port Elizabeth. Faku rose to fame as a contestant on The Voice SA season 2 in 2017 and prior getting recognition in the music industry. After she signed a record deal with The Vth Season, Ami released her debut studio album ''Imali'' (2019), debuted number one in South Africa. Channel O is a South African-based music channel which first started transmission in 1997. Its main concept is African music in Africa and the diaspora. Channel O can be accessed via DStv, a satellite pay TV service for pan-African households. The channel broadcasts a variety of music videos. It also holds the annual Channel O Music Video Awards ceremony, where artists are awarded for their outstanding contribution to music. Channel O, in recent years, has lost a significant amount of popularity mainly due to the launch of rival channels MTV Base Africa, Trace Urban and Trace Africa. Amapiano ( Zulu for "the pianos") is a style of house music that emerged in South Africa in the mid 2010s. It is a hybrid of deep house, jazz and lounge music characterized by synths and wide percussive basslines.
