Morsal Obeidi
Morsal Obeidi ( 7 September 1991 – 15 May 2008) was a German-Afghan girl who was murdered in an honour killing in Hamburg. Her brother Ahmad Sobair Obeidi killed her, making it an act of sororicide, and he was jailed for life for the act. Background Obeidi was born on 7 September 1991 in Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan. Her father, Ghulam-Mohammed Obeidi,, et al, p1, et al, p in 1992 arrived in Hamburg, which already had a sizeable expatriate Afghan population. Mazar-i-Sharīf ( ; Dari and ), also known as Mazar-e Sharīf or simply Mazar, is the fifth-largest city in Afghanistan by population, with the estimates varying from 500,000-680,000. Anooshe Sediq Ghulam (1979–2002) was a 22-year-old Afghanistan, Afghan refugee in Norway, who was murdered by her husband, Afghan Nasruddin Shamsi, in an "honour killing". Seyran Ateş (born 20 April 1963) is a Law of Germany, German lawyer and a Islamic feminism, Muslim feminist. She founded the Ibn Ruschd-Goethe mosque in 2017, as Germany's first liberal Islam, liberal place of worship for Muslims.
