The Moro II Cabinet was the 20th cabinet of the Italian Republic, headed by Prime Minister Aldo Moro, that held office from 22 July 1963 to 23 February 1964, for a total of 581 days, or 1 year, 7 months and 1 day. Aldo Moro
Aldo Moro (; 23 September 1916 – 9 May 1978) was an Italian statesman and prominent member of Christian Democracy (Italy), Christian Democracy (DC) and its centre-left wing. He served as prime minister of Italy in five terms from December 1963 to June 1968 and from November 1974 to July 1976. Moro served as Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs from May 1969 to July 1972 and again from July 1973 to November 1974. During his ministry, he implemented a pro-Arab policy. Moreover, he was appointed Italy's Minister of Justice (Italy), Minister of Justice and of Minister of Public Education (Italy), Public Education during the 1950s. From March 1959 until January 1964, he served as secretary of the DC. Giovanni Pieraccini
Giovanni Pieraccini (25 November 1918 – 14 July 2017) was an Italian journalist and socialist politician who was a member of the Italian Socialist Party. Starting his political career in 1948, Pieraccini served in different cabinet posts in the period 1963–1974. Early life and education Pieraccini was born in Viareggio on 25 November 1918. He was given the name of his father who had died before his birth. Pieraccini completed his high school education at the Carducci gymnasium in Viareggio. He graduated from the University of Pisa obtaining a law degree. Pieraccini participated in the resistance forces in Florence after 8 September 1943. Oronzo Reale
Oronzo Reale (24 October 1902 – 14 July 1988) was an Italian politician, who served as justice minister in the 1960s and 1970s. Biography Reale was born in Lecce on 24 October 1902. He received a degree in law. He was a member and the head of the Republican Party. He served as the secretary of the party. In the 1970s he tried the French model to reorganize the party for which he set up a committee. Reale also assumed cabinet posts. On 4 December 1963, he became justice minister of Italy. He was reappointed justice minister to the coalition government led by Prime Minister Aldo Moro on 24 February 1966. His term ended on 24 June 1968. Paolo Emilio Taviani
Paolo Emilio Taviani (6 November 1912 – 18 June 2001) was an Italian political leader, economist, and historian of the career of Christopher Columbus. He was a partisan leader in Liguria, a Gold Medal of the Italian resistance movement, then a member of the ''Consulta'' (National Assembly gathered to direct the transformation of the monarchy into a Republic) and the Constituent Council, later of the Italian Parliament from 1948 until his death.
