Monteverdi Berlinetta
The Monteverdi High Speed is a series of sports cars with different bodies produced from 1967 to 1976 by Swiss automaker Monteverdi. Carrozzeria Fissore
Carrozzeria Fissore was an Italian coachbuilder located in Savigliano, near Turin (Piedmont). History The firm was founded in by the brothers Antonio, Bernardo, Giovanni, and Costanzo Fissore. Originally they built horsecarts and only later expanded into repairing automobiles and trucks. In 1936 Bernardo took the reins and began constructing special bodies for automobiles, funeral vehicles, mail cars, and small buses. During World War II, Fissore built military vehicles. After the war, private vehicles once again became the focus. In 1947 a Fiat 1100 (1937), Fiat 1100-based estate appeared, called the "Giardinetta". In 1953 Fissore presented the Fiat 1100 TV, a uniquely designed coupé designed by Mario Revelli. De Tomaso Vallelunga
The De Tomaso Vallelunga is a mid-engine sports car produced from 1964 until 1967. It was the first road going automobile manufactured by the company. History The prototype has a backbone chassis with stressed member engine and formula car suspension in a barchetta body constructed in Modena. Named the Vallelunga 1500 after the Autodromo di Vallelunga racing circuit, it was shown by De Tomaso at the Turin Auto Show in 1963 and subsequently raced. Advertised in a prospectus as a Spider with weather equipment, Alejandro de Tomaso hoped to sell the concept to another company, but when there were no takers he commissioned Carrozzeria Fissore to build a new aluminum body on his rolling chassis. Fissore presented the resulting coupé styled by its young design chief Franco Maina at the Turin show in November 1964. Savigliano () is a of Piedmont, Northern Italy, in the Province of Cuneo, about south of Turin by rail. Maggiora (manufacturer)
Maggiora was an Italian coachbuilder and parts supplier from Moncalieri near Turin. They produced the Fiat Barchetta and the Lancia Kappa Coupé which was designed by Centro Stile Lancia. The company was shut down in 2003. History The company was formed in 1925 as ''Martelleria Maggiora'' by Arturo Maggiora as a high quality car body maker - a coach builder or 'Carrozzeria'. Their work has graced many Fiat and Lancia cars. Early work was usually contract work for larger ''carrozziere'', such as the Fiat 1100 Giardinetta for Viotti and the Lancia Flaminia for Touring. Peter Monteverdi (7 June 1934 – 4 July 1998) was a Swiss people, Swiss carmaker and creator of the car brand ''Monteverdi (car), Monteverdi''. At the beginning of his career, Monteverdi was a automobile salesperson, car salesman. His father ran a garage and truck business, which Peter used as his initial inspiration. He built his Monteverdi Special in 1952 using the remains of a wrecked 1949 Fiat. It is now on display at the Swiss Transport Museum in Lucerne.
