Monte Agnèr
Monte Agnèr (2,872 m) is a mountain of the Dolomites located near the village of Taibon Agordino in Belluno, northeast Italy. Pala Group
The Pala group (also known as Pale di San Martino) is the largest massif of the Dolomites, with about 240 km2 of surface, located between eastern Trentino and Veneto (province of Belluno), in the area between Primiero (valleys of Cismon, Canali, Travignolo), Valle del Biois (Falcade, Canale d'Agordo) and Agordino. In the central sector of the group, discovered by the Marquis Déodat Gratet de Dolomieu in 1788, consisting of Dolomite (mineral), dolomite, a sedimentary rock formed by double calcium carbonate and magnesium, extends the plateau, on an area of about 50 km2, forming a huge empty space, rocky and almost lunar that fluctuates between 2500 and 2800 m above sea level. The part of the group extended in Trentino is entirely included in the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino Natural Park. The Dolomites ( ), also known as the Dolomite Mountains, Dolomite Alps or Dolomitic Alps, are a mountain range in northeastern Italy. They form part of the Southern Limestone Alps and extend from the River Adige in the west to the Piave Valley ( Pieve di Cadore) in the east. The northern and southern borders are defined by the Puster Valley and the Sugana Valley (). Taibon Agordino is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the province of Province of Belluno, Belluno in the Italy, Italian region of Veneto, located about north of Venice and about northwest of Belluno.
