Mono Mukundu
Clive 'Mono' Mukundu is a Zimbabwean music producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist largely known as a guitarist. He is also an author. Mukundu has featured on more than 1000 albums and over 200 singles from 1988 to date. Early life Mukundu was born in September 1970 in town of Rusape, Zimbabwe. He is the second born in a family of eight children of George Mukundu and Joyce Gwatidzo. He grew up in Harare suburbs Kambuzuma, Kuwadzana and Mufakose. He attended his high school at Mukombami Secondary School, Kambuzuma High School and Mufakose High School. During his high school days he had a single dreadlock (Mono-lock) hairstyle that earned him the nickname Mono. Ivy Kombo
Ivy Kombo (born 16 April 1975) is a Zimbabwean gospel music artist and lawyer based in the United Kingdom. She is also co-founder of Nguva Yakwana Gospel Show. Early life Kombo was born in 1975 in Harare, Zimbabwe, and grew up in Glen View 4 suburb. She did her secondary education at St John's Chikwaka. She relocated to the United Kingdom in 2006. She studied LLB Law and LLM International Commercial Law at the University of Bedfordshire the MSC Project Management at University of Northampton. Career Ivy Kombo started singing when she was 10 years old in primary school and she composed her first song "Be Thou My Vision" at St John's Chikwaka High School. Tocky Vibes
Obey Makamure (born 29 November 1993), popularly known under the stage name Tocky Vibes, is a Zimbabwean award-winning Zimdancehall artist, songwriter and lyricist. He has released multiple singles. Early life Makamure was born in Rugare Suburb, Harare. He was first spotted by top Zimdancehall artist Winky D, which led to recordings of his earlier music. His parents wanted him to focus on his studies and thought the music scene would affect his studies. They moved him back to their rural home in Chivi Masvingo Province, and later he moved to their farm in Rusape outside of Mutare . Later local reggae and dancehall artist Emmanuel "Guspy Warrior mafia19" Manyeruke took him in and helped reignite his career. Oliver Mtukudzi
Oliver "Tuku" Mtukudzi (22 September 1952 – 23 January 2019) was a Zimbabwean musician, businessman, philanthropist, human rights activist and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Southern Africa Region. Career Mtukudzi grew up in Highfield, a poor neighborhood in Salisbury (modern-day Harare) in Southern Rhodesia. He began performing in 1977 when he joined the Wagon Wheels, a band that also featured Thomas Mapfumo and fellow guitarist James Chimombe. They were given the rare opportunity by Paul Tangi Mhova Mkondo, an African nationalist and music promotor, who provided money and resources to the group. He allowed them to perform at Club Mutanga (Pungwe) which, at the time, was the only night club available for blacks under Rhodesia's policy of segregation. Mukudzeyi Mukombe (born 4 July 1987), better known as Jah Prayzah, is a Zimbabwean contemporary musician and lead member of the band ''Third Generation''. He is popularly referred to by fans and media as "Musoja", the Shona word for "soldier", a name he earned mostly because of his signature band uniform of military regalia. The name "Jah Prayzah" comes from his name, "Mukudzeyi", which means "Praise Him".
