Modesty (film)
''Modesty'' () is a 2007 Spanish drama film directed by David Ulloa and Tristán Ulloa, based on the novel by Santiago Roncagliolo. Its cast features Nancho Novo, Elvira Mínguez, Natalia Rodríguez Arroyo, Celso Bugallo, Carolina Román, and Marcos Ruiz, among others. Plot Set in Gijón and dealing with the theme of family isolation, the plot tracks the plight and secrets of a number of characters, including lonely boy Sergio (inclined to talk to the dead), dying father Alfredo (diagnosed with brain tumour), anonimously sexted adoptive mother Julia, self-hating lesbian sister Marisa, and the widowed grandfather. Santiago Roncagliolo
Santiago Rafael Roncagliolo Lohmann (born March 29, 1975) is a Peruvian writer, screenwriter, translator and journalist. He has written five novels about fear. He is also author of a trilogy of non-fiction books on Latin America during the twentieth century. He is the son of the diplomat and politician, Rafael Roncagliolo (1944–2021), who was the Minister of foreign affairs of Peru from 2011 to 2013. Canal+ (Spanish TV Channel)
Canal+ was a Spanish commercial television channel operated by Sogecable, before its eventual sale to Telefónica. It was available on the digital satellite television and IPTV platform Movistar+. History Canal+ began its trial transmissions on June 8, 1990 and it launched as a regular channel on September 14 of the same year as a terrestrial channel in Spain. Similar to its French counterpart, the channel broadcast most of its content encrypted, forcing the usage of a decoder to view all programming on the channel properly. The Spanish version was already using the Nagravision encryption system at launch, while the French version would not implement it until two years later. In 1997, new channels using the Canal+ brand were launched in Spain, following the launch of Canal Satélite Digital. The 22nd ceremony of the annual Goya Awards, took place at the Palacio de Congresos of the Campo de las Naciones in Madrid, Spain on February 3, 2008, presented by José Corbacho.
