Mokha
Mokha (), also spelled Mocha, or Mukha, is a port city on the Red Sea coast of Yemen. Until Aden and al Hudaydah eclipsed it in the 19th century, Mokha was the principal port for Yemen's capital, Sanaa. Long known for its coffee trade, the city gave its name to Caffè mocha, Mocha coffee. Overview Mocha was the major marketplace for many commodities, including, but not limited to coffee (''Coffea arabica'') from the 16th century through the 19th century. The coffee itself did not grow in Mocha, but was transported from Ethiopia and inland Yemen to the port in Mocha, where it was then shipped abroad. Even after other sources of coffee were found, Mocha coffee bean, ''Mocha'' beans (also called ''Sanani'' or ''Mocha Sanani'' beans, meaning ''from Sana'a'') continued to be prized for their distinctive flavor—and remain so even today. Mocha's coffee legacy is reflected in the name of the Caffè mocha, mocha latte and the Moka pot coffee maker. In Germany, traditional Turkish ... JavaScript
JavaScript (), often abbreviated as JS, is a programming language and core technology of the World Wide Web, alongside HTML and CSS. Ninety-nine percent of websites use JavaScript on the client side for webpage behavior. Web browsers have a dedicated JavaScript engine that executes the client code. These engines are also utilized in some servers and a variety of apps. The most popular runtime system for non-browser usage is Node.js. JavaScript is a high-level, often just-in-time–compiled language that conforms to the ECMAScript standard. It has dynamic typing, prototype-based object-orientation, and first-class functions. It is multi-paradigm, supporting event-driven, functional, and imperative programming styles. It has application programming interfaces (APIs) for working with text, dates, regular expressions, standard data structures, and the Document Object Model (DOM). The ECMAScript standard does not include any input/output (I/O), such as netwo ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Cyclone Mocha
Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm Mocha () was a powerful and deadly tropical cyclone in the North Indian Ocean which affected Myanmar and parts of Bangladesh in May 2023. The second depression and the first cyclonic storm of the 2023 North Indian Ocean cyclone season, Mocha originated from a low-pressure area that was first noted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on 8 May. After consolidating into a depression, the storm tracked slowly north-northwestward over the Bay of Bengal, and reached extremely severe cyclonic storm intensity. After undergoing an eyewall replacement cycle, Mocha rapidly strengthened, peaking at Category 5-equivalent intensity on 14 May with winds of 270 km/h (165 mph). Mocha slightly weakened before making landfall, and its conditions quickly became unfavorable. Mocha rapidly weakened once inland and dissipated shortly thereafter. Thousands of volunteers assisted citizens of Myanmar and Bangladesh in evacuating as the cyclone approache ... Cyclophora Annularia
''Cyclophora annularia'', the mocha, is a moth of the family Geometridae. The species was first described by Johan Christian Fabricius in 1775 and it can be found in Europe. Its wingspan is . Normally, the wings of this species are yellowish white, inclining to ochreous yellow with the blackish central shade near to and sometimes united with the blackish irregular and outwardly toothed second cross line on both fore and hind wings. The rings are deep brown or blackish. There is variation in the width and intensity of the central shade, and the rings sometimes are absent on the fore wings (ab. ''obsoleta'', Riding), and occasionally all the wings are devoid of the annular mark (ab. ''biobsoleta'', Riding). Examples of a second generation reared in captivity are rather deeper coloured, and have a sprinkling of black scales, chiefly on the fore wings. The caterpillar is dark green, yellow between the rings; there are three yellow lines along the back, the outer ones waved. The he ... Cyclophora (moth)
''Cyclophora'' is a genus of moths in the family Geometridae. Many species are referred to as mochas in reference to their colouration, primarily in Europe. Taxonomy Traditionally, species included in this genus were either placed in ''Cyclophora'' (mostly Holarctic species) and ''Anisodes'' (mostly tropical species). Research concluded that these species belong in the same genus. The type species of ''Anisodes'' was even found to have features that are used to define ''Cyclophora''. Description Palpi hardly reaching beyond the frons. Antennae of male bipectinate (comb like on both sides) to two-thirds length. Forewings with vein 3 from before angle of cell and veins 7, 8 and 9 stalked from before upper angle. Vein 10 and 11 anastomosing (fusing) strongly with them to form the small areole. Hindwings with veins 3, 4 and 6, 7 from angles of cell. The typical section has the medial spur pair of hind tibia absent in male. Species *'' Cyclophora acutaria'' (Walker, 1863) *'' Cyclo ... List Of Ice Cream Varieties By Country
There are a number of ice cream varieties around the world. Argentina While industrial ice cream exists in Argentina and can be found in supermarkets, restaurants or kiosks, and ice cream pops are sold on some streets and at the beaches, the most traditional Argentine ''helado'' (ice cream) is similar to Italian gelato, rather than US-style ice cream, and it has become one of the most popular desserts in the country. Among the most famous manufacturers are "Freddo," "Persicco," "Chungo", "Cremolatti" and "Munchi's," all of them located in Buenos Aires. Each city has its own ''heladerías'' ( ice cream parlors) which offer different varieties of creamy and water-based ice creams, including both standard and regional flavors. There are hundreds of flavors but Argentina's most traditional and popular one is dulce de leche, which has become popular abroad, especially in the US. There are two kinds of ''heladerías'' in Argentina: the cheaper ones which sell ice cream with artifici ... Caffè Mocha
A mocha ( or ), also called mocaccino (), is a chocolate-flavoured variant of caffè latte, commonly served warm or hot in a glass rather than a mug. Other commonly used spellings are mochaccino and also mochachino. The name is derived from the city of Mokha, Taiz Governorate, Yemen, which was one of the centres of early coffee trade. The name is sometimes shortened to just mocha. Origin The name "mocha" is derived from the Yemeni port of Mokha, which was a port well-known for its coffee trade from the 15th to 17th century, and where small quantities of fine coffee grown in the hills nearby was exported. When coffee drinking culture spread to Europe, Europeans referred to coffee imports from Arabia as Mochas, even though coffee from Yemen itself was uncommon and frequently mixed with beans from Abyssinia, and later coffee from Malabar or the West Indies were also marketed as Mocha coffee. The coffee drink today called "mocha," however, is made by adding chocolate, a ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |
