Miss World 1991
Miss World 1991 was the 41st edition of the Miss World pageant, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, the United States, on 28 December 1991. Gina Tolleson of the United States crowned Ninibeth Leal of Venezuela as her successor at the end of the event. Miss World 1991 was scheduled to be held in the Dominican Republic due to scheduling difficulties, Miss World was first moved to Puerto Rico, then to Atlanta, the United States. Preliminary swimsuits in Miss World 1991 were held in South Africa. Selection of participants Replacements Antonia Balint of Hungary was stripped of the Miss Hungary 1991 title, after photographs printed in Hungarian newspapers showed that she had previously appeared in the men's magazine Lui and other publications against Miss World rules. Miss World 1989
Miss World 1989, the 39th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 22 November 1989 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong. 78 contestants took part in the pageant. It was the first time in history that Miss World ventured overseas. It was also the first time the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics has sent a contestant in any major pageant. The winner was Aneta Kręglicka of Poland, who was the first Eastern European person to win the competition. She was crowned by Miss World 1988, Linda Pétursdóttir of Iceland. Jarvis Joseph Astaire, OBE (6 October 1923 – 21 August 2021) was a British sports executive, boxing promoter, and film producer. Eric Morley
Eric Douglas Morley (26 September 1918 – 9 November 2000) was an English television host and the founder of the Miss World pageant and ''Come Dancing'' programme.
