Miss Nepal 2005
Dabur Vatika Miss Nepal 2005, 11th Miss Nepal pageant took place at the Birendra International Conference Convention Centre on April 7, 2005, in Nepal. It was won by Sugarika KC, of Lalitpur. The show was broadcast live by Nepal Television but suffered from minor technical glitches. The winner, Sugarika KC, represented Nepal in the Miss World 2005 pageant in Sanya, China. Lalitpur Metropolitan City, historically Patan ( sa, पाटन ''Pāṭana'', Nepal bhasa : '' Yela'', ), is the fourth most populous city of Nepal after Kathmandu, Pokhara and Bharatpur, and it is located in the south-central part of Kathmandu Valley, a new metropolitan city of Nepal. Lalitpur is also known as Manigal. It is best known for its rich cultural heritage, particularly its tradition of arts and crafts. Miss International 2005
Miss International 2005, the 45th Miss International pageant, was held on September 26, 2005 at the Koseinenkin Hall in Tokyo, Japan. 52 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Jeymmy Vargas of Colombia crowned her successor Lara Quigaman of the Philippines as the new Miss International. She became the fourth Filipino to win the pageant. Nuwakot District
Nuwakot District ( ne, नुवाकोट जिल्ला, a part of Bagmati Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. The district, with Bidur as its district headquarters, covers an area of and had a population of 288,478 in 2001 and 277,471 in 2011. It is a historically important district in Nepal. Prithvi Narayan Shah died in Devighat of Nuwakot. Nuwakot, Bagmati
Nuwakot (नुवाकोट) is one of the district in midwest Nepal. The city is located on the bank of Trishuli and Tandi Rivers. It is Located just 75 km west from Kathmandu, known as historic town which was the capital of the Valley in the days before the unification of Nepal by Prithvi Narayan Shah, and for more than 1,000 years the hilltop had served as a lookout and fort (kot) guarding the western entrance to Kathmandu Valley. Nuwakot served as an important trading hub for the Malla kings of the Valley, and was along a major transit route used for trade between India and Tibet (via Kerung).
