Miss Grand Mexico
Miss Grand Mexico is a national title bestowed upon a woman chosen to represent Mexico at the international pageant, headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand. The title was first mentioned in 2013 when Jesús Rábago, the director of a Mexican national pageant, Rostro de México, appointed his 2012 contest winner, Laura Alvarez, to represent the country in the inaugural edition of the parent international contest, , in Thailand. The license was transferred to Miss Mexico Organization in 2017, and then to Flavio Falsiroli in 2022. Since December 2023, the new franchise holder is former Miss Universe 1991, Mexico’s own Lupita Jones, who will crown next year’s official candidate during her national pageant of Mexicana Universal, sometime in 2024. A beauty pageant is a competition in which the contestants are judged and ranked based on various physical and mental attributes. Culiacán
Culiacán, officially Culiacán Rosales, is a city in northwestern Mexico, the capital and largest city of both Culiacán Municipality and the state of Sinaloa. Miss World Mexico 2016
Miss World Mexico 2016, now referred to as Miss Mexico 2016, is the very first edition of a new pageant organization formed by Hugo Castellanos after Lupita Jones, president of Nuestra Belleza México (now Mexicana Universal), lost the franchise with Miss World. The pageant held at Teatro Morelos of Morelia, Michoacán on 14 October 2016 . 31 contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title. Two winners were crowned at the end of the event: Ana Girault of Ciudad de México (Mexico City) as Miss World Mexico 2016/Miss Mexico 2016, and Andrea Meza of Chihuahua as Miss World Mexico 2017/Miss Mexico 2017. Miss Grand International 2017
Miss Grand International 2017 was the fifth Miss Grand International pageant, held at the Vinpearl Phu Quoc Resort and Villas Convention Hall in Phú Quốc, Vietnam, on October 25, 2017. Ariska Putri Pertiwi of Indonesia crowned María José Lora of Peru as her successor at the end of the event. Miss Grand International 2016 was the fourth Miss Grand International pageant, held at the Westgate International Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, on October 25, 2016 the first time the contest was held outside Thailand. Candidates from seventy-four countries and territories competed for the title. At the end of the event Claire Elizabeth Parker, Miss Grand International 2015 of Australia crowned Ariska Putri Pertiwi of Indonesia as her successor, making her the first Asian candidate to win the title. Miss Grand International 2015 was the third edition of the Miss Grand International pageant, held on 25 October 2015 at the Indoor Stadium Huamark in Bangkok, Thailand. Candidates from seventy-seven countries and territories competed for the title, of whom a 20-year-old Dominican American from Rhode Island representing Dominican Republic, Anea García, was announced as the winner and received a cash prize of 40,000 USD as a reward. Meanwhile, the candidates from Miss Grand Australia, Miss Grand India, the Miss Grand Philippines, and Miss Grand Thailand were named the runners-up.
