Misha Brusilovsky
Misha Brusilovsky (born Mikhail Brussilovsky; 7 May 1931 – 3 November 2016) was a Russian artist, painter and graphic artist. He was a Member of the Russian union of artists, :ru:Заслуженный художник Российской Федерации, '' an honored artist of the Russian Federation'', a distinguished member of Russian Academy of Arts, a laureate of the :ru:Премия имени Г. С. Мосина, ''"G. S. Mosin prize"'' and a winner of the Sverdlovsk region Governor's prize ''"For outstanding achievements in literature and art".'' Ural () is a geographical region located around the Ural Mountains, between the East European Plain, East European and West Siberian Plain, West Siberian plains. It is considered a part of the Eurasian Steppe, extending approximately from the North to the South; from the Arctic Ocean to the end of the Ural (river), Ural River near Orsk city. The border between Europe and Asia runs along the Eastern side of the Ural Mountains. Ural mostly lies within Russia but also includes a small part of Northwestern Kazakhstan. USSR Union Of Artists
The Artists' Union of the USSR () was a creative union of the Soviet artists and art critics embracing the Republics of the Soviet Union. The Union was founded started in 1932 to supersede the AKhRR. The integral Union was instituted in 1957. By January 1, 1976, the Union included 14,538 members. It was officially disbanded at its 8th Congress in January 1992 after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, with its rights distributed over the corresponding unions in the post-Soviet states. The Central Ural Publishing House (), formerly the Sverdlovsk Publishing House (), was a Soviet and Russian book publisher head-quartered in Yekaterinburg. It was established in 1920. In 1930–1940 it was the largest book publisher in the Ural region. History The company was established in 1920. It was initially called Uralgosizdat (, lit. "The Ural department of the State publisher"). It published propaganda brochures, posters, leaflets, the first alphabet book for adults in the Soviet Union. In 1922 it was transformed into the joint-stock company Uralkniga (Уралкнига). Bella Kun became the chairman of the board. In 1934 it was renamed to the Sverdlovsk Publishing House, abbreviated as Sverdlgiz ().
