Ilgar Anzor oglu Mirzayev (; 8 May 1973–2020) was an Azerbaijani military officer, National Hero of Azerbaijan, and colonel serving in the Azerbaijani Armed Forces until his death during the July 2020 Armenian–Azerbaijani clashes. He also had participated in the April 2016 clashes. Early years Ilgar Anzor oglu Mirzayev was born on 8 May 1973, in Gardabani, Georgian SSR, then the Soviet Union. He entered the secondary school of Gardabani in 1980 and graduated in 1990. Mirzayev was admitted to the Azerbaijan Higher Military Academy in 1991 and graduated in 1995. Bahatdin Mirzayev
Bahatdin Shahveled oglu Mirzayev (Azerbaijani: Bahəddin Şahvələd oğlu Mirzəyev; 31 December 1914 – 15 April 1987) was an Azerbaijani Red Army captain and a Hero of the Soviet Union. During World War II, Mirzayev served as a battery commander in the 416th Rifle Division. During the Vistula–Oder Offensive, Mirzayev corrected the battery's fire and was wounded, reportedly enabling it to destroy multiple German firing points. On the next day his battery knocked out German artillery pieces which had been slowing the infantry's advance. Two days after the start of the offensive, his battery destroyed two German tanks and an armored personnel carrier, enabling the capture of the village. For his actions Mirzayev received the title Hero of the Soviet Union on 24 March 1945. He was seriously wounded in the Battle of Berlin and was discharged upon recovery. Hikmat Izzat oglu Mirzayev () is an Azerbaijani military officer. He is a lieutenant general of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and the commander of the Special Forces, and participated in the 2016 Nagorno–Karabakh clashes and the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, during which he led Azerbaijani forces in the 2020 battle of Shusha.
