Mirfield () is a town and civil parishes in England, civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees, West Yorkshire, England. Mirfield Show
Mirfield Show is an annual agricultural show held at the Huddersfield Road Showground in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, England on the third Sunday in August. It is organised and run by the Mirfield Agricultural Society (MAS) as a Non-profit organization, not-for-profit event and regularly attracts over 6,000 visitors each year from across Yorkshire. The Showground The Showground is situated near Mirfield town centre - adjacent to Crowlees Junior and Infant School and opposite Mirfield Memorial Park (home to Moorlands and Mirfield cricket clubs). The Community of the Resurrection (CR) is an Anglican religious community for men in England. It is based in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, and has 14 members as of April 2023. Mirfield Town Hall
Mirfield Town Hall is a former municipal building in Huddersfield Road in Mirfield, a town in West Yorkshire in England. The building, which was previously the offices and meeting place of the Mirfield Urban District Council, is now used as a worship hall by the Salvation Army. History In the early 1860s, a group of local businessmen decided to form a company, to be known as the "Mirfield Town Hall Company", to finance and commission a new town hall for the area. The site they selected was on the north side of the Huddersfield Road in the Eastthorpe Parish. The foundation stone for the new building was laid by the Mayor of Dewsbury, Edward Day, on 24 August 1867. It was designed by Kirk and Sons of Dewsbury in the Italianate style, built in ashlar stone and was officially opened the chairman of Mirfield Town Hall Company, J. The Mirfield Free Grammar
The Mirfield Free Grammar (also known as the MFG), previously Mirfield High School (MHS), and sixth form is a coeducational comprehensive secondary school in the town of Mirfield, West Yorkshire, England. Mirfield Free Grammar School was founded by Richard Thorpe of Hopton in 1667. The current school is a merger of the town's grammar school and secondary modern school, the latter founded in 1951. Patrick Stewart was a student at the Mirfield Secondary Modern. In September 2011, he inaugurated the school as an academy. The school was rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in both 2008 and 2012. In 2013 a new extension was added to the sports centre which included a Dance Studio and Gym. Castle Hall Academy
Castle Hall Academy (formerly Castle Hall School before becoming an academy in 2011, and Castle Hall Academy before and after joining IMPACT in 2018) is a mixed 11–16 Academy in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, England.
