Mir, Belarus
Mir ( be, Мір; russian: Мир; ) is a town in the Karelichy District (Карэліцкі раён) of Grodno Region, Belarus on the banks of Miranka River, about 85 kilometers southwest of the national capital, Minsk. History Mir village was founded sometime prior to 1345. It is home to a late medieval castle, which made the town the target of many attacks over the centuries. The town belonged to the Illinič family ( Korczak coat of arms) first and then to the Radziwiłł family. It was destroyed by the Swedish forces in 1655 (Deluge) and again by the Swedes during the Great Northern War in 1706. Rafael Mir Vicente (born 18 June 1997) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a striker for La Liga club Sevilla. He has played in La Liga for Valencia, Huesca and Sevilla, as well as in the Segunda División for Las Palmas and Huesca. Abroad, he had spells in England with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest. Multiple isomorphous replacement (MIR) is historically the most common approach to solving the phase problem in X-ray crystallography studies of proteins. For protein crystals this method is conducted by soaking the crystal of a sample to be analyzed with a heavy atom solution or co-crystallization with the heavy atom. The addition of the heavy atom (or ion) to the structure should not affect the crystal formation or unit cell dimensions in comparison to its native form, hence, they should be isomorphic. Data sets from the native and heavy-atom derivative of the sample are first collected. Then the interpretation of the Patterson difference map reveals the heavy atom's location in the unit cell. MicroRNA (miRNA) are small, single-stranded, non-coding RNA molecules containing 21 to 23 nucleotides. The Mir (russian: Мир) series of lenses are Russian camera lenses made by various manufacturers in the former Soviet Union. Mir-1 The first variant was the ''Mir-1'' and won the Grand Prix at Expo '58 in Brussels. Its construction was derived from the Flektogon lens by Carl Zeiss. The first element in this lens is in fact a disperser meniscus to reduce vignette effects when photographing with an open diaphragm. Its focal length is 37.5mm and its maximum aperture is f/2.8. There are several versions of the lens (Mir-1, Mir-1V, Mir-A..). Most of them are made for Zenit SLRs with M39 lens mount or M42 lens mount. The only different version is Mir-1A. Sultan Mir, or Amiruddin Iskandar Dulkarna'in (c. 1511 ― 1550s) was the third Sultan of Tidore Sultanate, Tidore in Maluku Islands. Mir Taqi Mir
Mir Muhammad Taqi (February 1723 – 20 September 1810), known as Mir Taqi Mir (also spelled Meer Taqi Meer), was an Urdu poet of the 18th century Mughal era in the Subcontinent and one of the pioneers who gave shape to the Urdu language itself. His father's name was Meer Muttaqi. After his father's death, his step-Brothers took control over his property.
