''Minutes to Go'' is the debut album released by Danish punk band Sods (later named Sort Sol). It was released in 1979 and is often referred to as Denmark's first punk album. The original album contained eight of the band's own songs and a cover version of Suicide's "Ghost Rider". The album was re-released in 1997 with six bonus tracks. Sods (band)
Sort Sol is a Danish rock band from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band was formed in 1977 as a punk rock outfit, originally under the name Sods (stylized as SODS). The name ''Sort Sol'' was taken in the early 1980s. It translates to English as ''black sun'' and is named after a nature phenomenon particular to Denmark, where huge bird flocks gather in the sky and appear to block out the sun. The Danish press often refers to their musical style as punk due to their origin, though nearly everything they have put out since 1980 is more reminiscent of styles such as post-punk, art-rock, gothic rock and even industrial music. Peter Peter (Danish Musician)
Peter Schneidermann better known as Peter Peter (born 12 August 1960) is a Danish rock musician and former member of the Danish rock band Sort Sol (formerly SODS), before engaging on his own musical projects Bleeder and the Bleeder Group. Peter Peter is also notable for working with filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn and has written scores and soundtracks for a number of films. Biography Schneidermann was born on the island of Bornholm, but the family soon moved to Copenhagen after his birth. As a young man, Peter was very interested in film and music. He got a Hagstrom guitar which he later painted pink. The guitar followed him throughout life, and he has its picture tattooed on his upper arm. He was also into judo and won the Copenhagen Cup Baunehøj Hall. During his judo practices, he met Lars Nybo, who played drums in the band Space-brain, later known as Suck. Martin Reverby, better known by his stage name Martin Rev, (born December 18, 1947) is an American musician who was one half of the influential synth-punk band Suicide. Rev has also released several solo albums for a number of record labels, including ROIR and Puu. His style varies widely from release to release, from harsh and abrasive no wave (''Martin Rev'') to light bubblegum pop (''Strangeworld'') to heavy synthesizer rock (''To Live'').
