The Minister for the Climate ( Swedish: ''Klimatministern'') is a cabinet minister within the Swedish Government and appointed by the Prime Minister of Sweden. The minister is responsible for issues regarding the Climate. The current Minister for the Climate is Romina Pourmokhtari, appointed on 18 October 2022. She concurrently serves as Minister for the Environment. Romina Pourmokhtari
Romina Pourmokhtari (born 12 November 1995) is a Swedish politician for the Liberals. She has served as the Minister for the Environment since 2022 in the Kristersson Cabinet. She has also been a member of the Riksdag for Stockholm Municipality since 2022. She is the youngest-ever minister of a cabinet in Sweden, ascending her position at the age of 26. Political career Pourmokhtari became the president of the Liberal Youth of Sweden in 2019. Isabella Lövin (born 3 February 1963) is a Swedish politician for the Green Party. She served as Minister for International Development Cooperation from 2014 to 2019, as Minister for the Environment from 2019 to 2021 and as honorary Deputy Prime Minister of Sweden from 2016 to 2021. The Ministry of the Environment ( sv, Miljödepartementet) was a government ministry in Sweden responsible for the government's environmental policies regarding chemicals, natural environment and biological diversity. It was dissolved in 2022 by the government of Ulf Kristersson, with environmental issues being relocated to the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation.
