The coat of arms of Denmark () has a lesser and a greater version. The state coat of arms () consists of three pale blue lion (heraldry), lions attitude (heraldry)#Passant, passant wearing crown (heraldic charge), crowns, accompanied by nine red lilypads (normally represented as seeblatt, heraldic hearts), all in a golden shield with the Danish Crown Regalia, royal crown on top. The national coat of arms of Denmark ( — also called ) is similar to the state coat of arms, but without the crown (headgear), royal crown above the shield. It is evolved from the coat of arms of the House of Estridsen, the dynasty which provided the kings of Denmark between 1047 and 1412. After the 2001 Danish parliamentary election, Anders Fogh Rasmussen was able form a government coalition of his own Liberal Party Venstre and the Conservative People's Party. It was a minority government with the parliamentary support of the Danish People's Party. The resulting cabinet is called the Cabinet of Anders Fogh Rasmussen I. Apart from the EU Presidency in 2002 during which the enlargement of the European Union was decided, the main issues for the cabinet were the so-called ''tax freeze'', which ended the upward drift in municipal income tax rates, tax cuts, law and order, limiting the number of refugees and immigrants coming to Denmark as well as the war in Afghanistan and Iraq. Founded as part of a peasants' movement against the landed aristocracy, today it espouses an economically liberal, pro- free-market ideology. is the major party of the centre-right in Denmark, and the second-largest party in the country. Bertel Geismar Haarder (born 7 September 1944) is a Danish writer, teacher and politician, who was a member of the Folketing for the Venstre political party. He has served as minister several times, including Minister of Education from 1982 to 1993 and again in 2005 to 2010, and most recently as Minister for Culture and Ecclesiastical Affairs from 2015 to 2016 in the L. L. Rasmussen II Cabinet. He is a former member of European Parliament, serving from 1994 to 2001. Jan Trøjborg
Jan Trøjborg (14 December 1955 – 6 May 2012) was a Denmark, Danish politician representing the Social Democrats (Denmark), Social Democrats. He was a member of parliament (Folketinget) from 8 September 1987 to 31 December 2005. In November 2005 he was elected Mayor of Horsens municipality, Horsens. At the time of his death, he was the chairman of Kommunernes Landsforening. He died of a heart attack while riding a bicycle in a cycling race. His demise occurred the day before a 2012 Giro d'Italia, Giro d'Italia stage was taking place in his city. Trøjborg had been a key factor in bringing the 2012 Giro to Denmark. After the 1998 Danish parliamentary election, the sitting Danish Prime Minister Poul Nyrup Rasmussen was able to reform the government coalition of his own Social Democrats and the Danish Social Liberal Party. The resulting cabinet, which replaced the Cabinet of Poul Nyrup Rasmussen III, was formed on 23 March 1998 and was called the Cabinet of Poul Nyrup Rasmussen IV.
