Mine Ercan
Mine Ercan (born November 26, 1987) is a Turkish female wheelchair basketball player in Guard position. The 4-point player is the captain of the Turkey women's national wheelchair basketball team. Early life Mine Ecan was born on November 26, 1987. She began playing wheelchair basketball by December 2006. She is a 4 point player in Combo guard, Guard position. Career Club Currently, Mine Ercan is playing in the Aydın ESK, the wheelchair basketball team of the sports club for disabled people in Aydın, western Turkey. With her national teammate Ebru Gökşen, the two are only female members of the men's team. Her team competes in the Turkish Wheelchair Basketball First League, First League (TSB1L), the second division league of wheelchair basketball in Turkey. Wheelchair Basketball
Wheelchair basketball is basketball played by people with varying physical disabilities that disqualify them from playing a non-disabled sport. These include spina bifida, birth defects, cerebral palsy, paralysis due to accident, amputations (of the legs, or other parts), and many other disabilities. The International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) is the governing body for this sport. It is recognized by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) as the sole competent authority in wheelchair basketball worldwide. FIBA has recognized IWBF under Article 53 of its General Statutes. Efeler is a new lçe(district) and second level municipality in Aydın Province, Turkey. According to Law, Act no. 6360, all Turkish provinces with a population more than 750,000, were declared metropolitan municipality. The law also created new districts within the capital city which have second level municipalities, in addition to the metropolitan municipality. Efeler happens to be one of them. Bayrampaşa
Bayrampaşa (pronounced ) is a suburban district of Istanbul, Turkey on the European side of the city. The mayor is Atila Aydıner ( AK Party). History Up to 1936, Bayrampaşa was part of Fatih district. It was then part of Eyüp district between 1936 and 1990. Until 1970, the area was known as Sağmalcılar, when a large outbreak of cholera, caused by pollution of the Ottoman-built water supply by new buildings and factories, led to the area being quarantined. Following this incident, the name Sağmalcılar became synonymous with cholera, so the district was renamed Bayrampaşa, after the 17th-century Ottoman grand vizier Bayram Pasha.
