Melinda Sue "Mindy" Lewis is a fictional character in the town of Springfield on the CBS daytime drama, ''Guiding Light'', originated and, most notably, portrayed by actress, Krista Tesreau. Character History 1983-1989 Mindy Lewis, lovingly called "Princess" by her beloved daddy, Billy, grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mindy, whose mother died when she was only five years old, grew up spoiled and rich. Mindy came to Springfield in June 1983, with her father following very soon after. Mindy was instrumental in convincing Billy to marry Vanessa Chamberlain, whom she adored. She then started dating Phillip Spaulding, but the heir to Spaulding millions didn't pay enough attention to her, so Mindy, in a ploy for attention, made it look like her horse, Boss, trampled her and landed herself in Cedars Hospital. Gene Palumbo
Gene Palumbo (November 10, 1945 – October 10, 2000) was an American television producer and writer. Career Palumbo served as the head writer of the CBS Daytime soap opera ''Guiding Light'' with L. Virginia Browne from 1982 to 1983, where he won a 1982 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series Writing. He later co-created ''Rituals'', which ran from 1984 to 1985. Palumbo was the head writer of the ABC Daytime serial '' General Hospital'' from 1989 to 1991, replacing Ann Marcus after the 1988 Writers Guild of America strike. He was himself replaced in 1991 with Norma Monty, the sister of Executive Producer and former head writer Gloria Monty, who had returned to the series in 1990. Richard Edward Bauer (born January 10, 1977) is an American former professional baseball pitcher, who played for the Baltimore Orioles, Texas Rangers, and Cleveland Indians of Major League Baseball (MLB). He also played for the LG Twins of the KBO League. Shayne Lewis is a fictional character from the CBS soap opera ''Guiding Light''. He is the second child of supercouple Joshua Lewis and Reva Shayne. In 2008, Jeff Branson stepped into the role to critical acclaim and soon won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2009, having the distinction of winning the final award in the show's last year on television. Phillip Granville Spaulding is a fictional character from the CBS soap opera ''Guiding Light''. Phillip has been portrayed by three different actors, most notably by Grant Aleksander. The character is the adopted son of business mogul, Alan Spaulding, and his first ex-wife, Elizabeth. The role was originated in 1977 by Jarrod Ross, who departed the series in 1981.
