Stereos is a Canadian pop rock band from Edmonton, Alberta, formed in 2008. Their musical style fuses aspects of electronic music, rock, and pop. Their breakout came from appearing on the MuchMusic original series, '' disBAND''. In October 2009, they released their debut self-titled album, '' Stereos''. Biography 2008–2009: Early days and record deal The band formed roughly two years prior to its 2008 appearance on disBAND under the name Stand By Me. After meeting disBAND Guru Greig Nori, Stand By Me was advised to change their name due to copyright issues. Turn It Up was chosen. The Juno Awards (stylized as JUNOS), or simply known as the Junos, are awards presented by Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences to recognize outstanding achievements in Canada's music industry. ''Chart Attack'' (stylized as ''CHARTattack'') was a Canadian online music publication. Formerly a monthly print magazine, it was called ''Chart'' and published from 1991 to 2009. Faber Drive is a Canadian pop punk band from Mission, British Columbia, formed in 2004. Fefe Dobson
Felicia Lily Dobson (born February 28, 1985) is a Canadian singer. Born in Toronto, Ontario, she began performing as a teenager, during which time she received and refused an offer from Jive Records for a recording contract. Dobson signed with Island/Def Jam soon after and released her self-titled debut album (2003), which saw the success of the singles " Bye Bye Boyfriend" and " Don't Go (Girls and Boys)" on the Canadian Hot 100 chart and for which she received two Juno Award nominations. ''The Show Must Go'' is the third studio album by Canadian pop rock group Hedley. It is the first album by the band that drops their pop-punk / emo sound for more of a Pop rock sound, It was released on November 17, 2009, in Canada. The album was successful, producing three top 20 singles, with the lead track, " Cha-Ching", and eighth track, "Perfect" both hitting the top 10. The album was later released in the US on December 7, 2010. Background The group worked with producers David Bendeth, John Feldmann, Dave Genn and Brian Howes. They were named after the Unincorporated area, unincorporated community of Hedley, British Columbia, a name chosen after members heard that it was for sale for $346,000.
